This is a prime spot for getting out into the Peak District National Park… and hiking, cycling, golfing, pub crawling (or simply just chilling) are also on the menu. You see, the adults-only bell tent at Kinder View Hillside Camping is less than two miles from the edge of the national park and there’s a network of footpaths and pubs very close by. The bell tent has a proud position on top of a high peak that faces Kinder Scout, so not only will you be well-based, but you’ll also get to appreciate a priceless view. Wake up in the middle of a field with the wildlife singing, then freshen up with your off-grid bathroom (which has yet another lush view). If ‘pub crawl’ caught your attention, you’ll be pleased to know that there’s a long list of such establishments between a 15 minutes’ and 45 minutes’ walk of the site – the biggest concentration is in New Mills Central, which is 35 minutes’ walk away. The town’s golf course is also only 15 minutes’ walk away from the site. That’s if you’re not already busy hatching a plan for Peak District activities, which could include visits to caverns, pools and mountains, which are within 40 minutes’ drive of the bell tent.
