Mi è piaciuto We loved our night here! Andy met us on arrival and showed me around/gave clear instructions for all amenities (ie showers, drinking water etc). Everything was straight forward and user friendly! The tent was super cozy and spacious. We opted to pay extra for the mattress and would highly recommend it. It was super comfortable and made setting up that much easier. The site has beautiful views and great walking trails. Town is just a 7 minute drive, so we picked up fish and chips to eat at the site, which was so lovely and meant we didn't need to bring as much with us. There is a lovely communal feel to the site. It was nice to see children from different groups asking if they could play with one another- I'd imagine the parents loved that as it is a safe enclosed space for the kids to entertain themselves, and for parents to not have to be on watch all night. We were in Tent 1, which is the closest to the amenities. It stayed a bit light over night as the communal areas need to be lit up. This was perfect as we didn't know how our dog would do outside in the dark by a fire (his first time camping). This would be a great tent choice for those travelling with dogs or kids who might need a bit of extra light. If you need absolute darkness to sleep, you might want to ask for another tent (lots of options further back!). We will definitely be back and are so happy to have found something like this so close to home.

Mi è piaciuto Everything! There are a good variety of pitches to choose from so there's options for everyone. Upon arrival I was asked what I was looking for and brought to literally the perfect site for me- right on the water, in the woods. It felt so secluded and like true wild camping (exactly what I've been looking for). Both men I spoke with (Alan and Freddie I believe) were really helpful, kind and welcoming. This will definitely become my go-to for future camping trips. Could not recommend more.

Mi è piaciuto The camp site was exactly what we were hoping for. Private, well maintained, fire pit, quiet. The staff member on site was so so helpful and kind-- he took some time out to show us a few unique ways of starting fires and told us about some local events taking place to check out. There were two pubs within reach so we only had to pack breakfast/snacks as we had our dinners there (made the task of cooking/cleaning much easier as its only once a day!). There are lots of options for walks near by and things to see/do. I will definitely camp here again :)

Non mi è piaciuto I didn't dislike anything! Looking at other reviews I would just say-- yes, there were only two toilets but I never found myself waiting or in a queue. They were in decent enough shape for porter loos and a very short walk from the site. There isn't running water but we only used about 1/8th of the water we brought with us. We really didn't need as much as we had thought.
