Mi è piaciuto The site was quiet, spacious, with well looked after grounds. The toilets were older style but perfectly serviceable, and with plenty of hot water. The staff were very pleasant. The walk into the town only takes about 10 minutes, and there’s plenty to do in the area. £40 a night was a bit pricey for the facilities, but if you want to stay in Peebles there is no alternative. We’ll certainly return and look forward to seeing the site develop.

Non mi è piaciuto The pitches were a bit uneven and the new chips needed to be spread further lengthwise to allow a 7m motorhome to get all four wheels on.

Mi è piaciuto The relaxed, family atmosphere of the site. Friendly staff. The proximity to the long distance cycle path. Good serviced pitches.

Non mi è piaciuto The unisex en-suite toilets, although modern, are impossible to keep clean, with shower spray and dust on shoes keeping the floors constantly dirty - it was a busy bank holiday weekend though!

Mi è piaciuto Pretty unique site on an island between two fast flowing rivers, and with a large fishing lake in the centre. Friendly reception staff. Good toilet facilities regularly cleaned to a high standard. Small games room. Nice village with huge medieval castle within walking distance. Dieppe easily reached by bike, and 60km of paved cycle path in other direction. Nice atmosphere on site.

Site is quite large and thus a fair amount of walking required to get to toilet blocks, chemical point, reception, etc. Lakeside pitches can be uneven requiring a good set of ramps. Despite these things the site was our favourite out of the 5 sites we stayed on during our French trip.

Mi è piaciuto Lovely site just off ring road and within easy walking distance of the town. Very well tended gardens. Good sized pitch. Modern toilets with a pretty good standard of cleanliness. Easy access to cycle routes via ring road cycle paths. Friendly reception staff.

Non mi è piaciuto Just a minor point - gents toilets had one toilet cubicle out of action during the whole of our 4 night stay which meant having to queue a couple of times.

Mi è piaciuto The campsite location - easy, pleasant 25 minute stroll to nearest train station, then 15 minute train journey to Paris. The area surrounding the campsite was also pretty pleasant. The site itself was pretty secure and quiet.

Non mi è piaciuto The toilets were not cleaned properly, or very often - the worst we’ve experienced for a number of years. Two toilet blocks, but only one with hot water. Drinking water had to be taken from sinks in the toilets (or from a paid system at a motor home point) - not ideal. The entrance to the pitch looked like a ploughed field, and although large, a fair proportion was covered in long grass, weeds, nettles, etc.

Mi è piaciuto Nice, quiet site, even when most pitches occupied. Clean toilets and showers. Friendly reception staff. Good location for cycling locally. Pleasant, quiet village setting.

Mi è piaciuto The location, the views, the very basic yet entirely functional facilities. We used this site as a stop over on our way to Spain. It had electric hook up and a dry toilet and an adjoining shower. It was 0” when we woke just before dawn, and the memory of a nice hot shower while watching the sun rise will stay with me for a long time.

Mi è piaciuto We used this site as a winter stop over on our way to Spain. It had all we needed - hot shower, clean facilities and a firm pitch. It’s turned out to be quite an atmospheric place to stay - partly due to us being the only guests that night in a pretty spooky forest, and partly due to the light show from the adjoining restaurant (which lit up the whole forest and made it feel like a scene from the x files). Looks like a lovely site for summer - we’d love to return then.

Mi è piaciuto We used this site as a stop over on our way to Spain. All we wanted was a firm pitch with decent electricity and clean toilet/dishwashing facilities. We got that, so we were very happy. The owner even suggested we just pitch on one of the service roads as heavy rain or snow was forecast, and that’s what we did.

Mi è piaciuto Large pitch, adjacient to toilet block and dish washing. Everything was very clean. 20p for shower was fine given hot water and good pressure, and the nightly rate was very reasonable.

Mi è piaciuto Our stay at this site was exttemely positive. Very friendly and kind owners, great location, clean facilities, and great full service pitches. Armagh is a lovely small city, loads to see and do, and a pleasant walk from the site. The site was very busy with tents during our stay, but even so the small toilet block wasn't overwhelmed.

Non mi è piaciuto Only one minor issue was the number of fire pits lit in the evenings, often pretty close to tents which were themselves pitched close together - our pitch was thankfully a fair distance from any of them, but enough to give a Caravan Club warden a fit.
