Mi è piaciuto First class facilities and on-site shop and Cafe. Next to a nice village Pub with wide range of food available. *Normally.
Wide pitches with hedge separation for privacy.
Non mi è piaciuto No-one around at Reception on arrival and a Luke warm welcome when we did find someone, who then read the dos & dont’s -previously sent by email.
Large party of teens on some sort of supervised excursion which meant we couldn’t get Pizza that evening as they were too busy. This was after the Pub had told us the Chef was ill and food unavailable. Maybe better if Stoats had told us the situation when we checked in.

Nice wide pitches in a quiet spot behind the pub garden.

set 2025 Mi è piaciuto Quiet and pleasant site with great views of the Rance and surrounding wetlands. Nice walks available and a little camp Bar for a drink.
Non mi è piaciuto No toilet roll, or seats for that matter. Limited shower facilities.

Wi-Fi was available in the Games Room but also reached our Campervan.
Shop selling most essentials and goodies
Check-in was very pleasant and helpful

We were given a quiet Pitch…
ago 2022 Mi è piaciuto We were given a quiet Pitch at the bottom of the Campsite. The toilet and shower facilities were immaculate and the George Inn was a lovely old traditional Pub with decent food, good drinks prices and friendly staff. Walks nearby include a canal side walk to the Slimbridge Wetlands Centre- highly recommended- about 1.5 miles away.

How a camp site should be run.
ott 2021 Mi è piaciuto Very friendly couple managing the site. Exceptionally clean, well run and organised, with a good shower block and room for looking at maps etc.
Good access to a coastal walk across the road from the entrance.
