Mi è piaciuto Absolutely loved this gem of a small campsite with separate areas for tourers tents and motorhomes. Facilities are basic but clean. Toilets separate showers with washrooms as well. Kitchen area with washing up. Clothes washing sink with a spin dryer. And a microwave kettle and toaster to use. With a short path leading into Charleston Mere caravan park with its two fishing lakes. Swimming pools and entertainment bar/restaurant. The site had stunning trees and hedges full of a wide variety of small birds. And the trees were all shaded of autumn.

Non mi è piaciuto Just so so disappointed that the site is closing in a few weeks, so it can become part of the larger caravan/mobile home site. Why are all the decent small sites being distorted.

Mi è piaciuto Such a lovely adult only site. Lots of secluded areas within the orchard or scrubbery for those wanting quiet spots to camp up with tents and campervans. The owners are continuously planting more areas to break up the large areas. Also there are lines of EHU areas for those wanting that. Along with a few wooden pods that can be hired. The site has a few water taps. A smart toilet blocks with sinks and separate shower block that you need tokens bought from reception. Along with a covered washing up area. All are kept very clean and tidy. There is a bin area that also has two large metal boxes for ash. A toilet water and grey water along with a hose to raise anything out. There are also a couple of squatter field for those with touring caravans to pitch up. The site is a lovely quiet site. And is an easy walk down to the riverside. Where you can explore walks along the river. You can walk to the Maybush pub with a nice garden to sit and watch the boats and wildlife. Pub sells good food. Staff were very helpful and friendly I had a wonderful stay.

Non mi è piaciuto They want really anything. Except they are only a few water taps but I didn’t find this problem. There wasn’t wifi but signals on my phone were ok.

Mi è piaciuto A lovely well kept site with all electric pitches. A short walk opposite down small lane to the river bank ideal for dog walkers. Many of the campers were people just off or due to sail on ferries at Harwich. A great stop over. Or to spend a week. Host was very friendly. Pub on site. Good facilities. Showers and toilets were well kept. And washing up area. And a couple of fresh water taps. And an area for toilet water disposal. A nice town down the road. The site is visited by a local pizza van a few times a week. An electric gated site.

Non mi è piaciuto I was put under an oak tree. Not ideal for someone in a tent with acorns and small twigs falling. Asked to move but he was resultant to give me another pitch. Could if done with a freeze to freeze ice blocks. But enjoyed my stay. WiFi not included.
