Mi è piaciuto Location- close to the sea, to waterfalls, to local walks from campsite itself, to Eskdale walks and Muncaster Castle was a great day out. Nature- in 4 days we saw woodpeckers, buzzards, deer, hares, butterflies. Host- Jonty was a very lovable character who gave us great advice about local walks and shops

Mi è piaciuto Loved the park onsite for children and the toilets were nice and clean. Liked that you could park next to tent, have a fire pit, play music until 10.30pm but after that everyone was quiet and well-behaved. If you are security conscious/anxious- there is a barrier on entering the campsite that makes you feel safe. Pitches were well spaced out- it felt like we had loads of space and the staff were helpful and relaxed. There are some ponds for fishing on the edges of the campsite- just mentioning that in case you have tiny children who might escape and head for water. Felt safe letting primary age children roam about and play with new friends. I go to loads of different campsites and this one felt relaxed, calm and full of nice families. We had teenagers with us as well as young children- no wifi for kids but close enough to Blackpool for a day trip out for older children.

Non mi è piaciuto Nearest supermarket feels ages away- although there is a small M&S at a nearby petrol station.
