Mi è piaciuto Our pitch felt really private and the manager was very friendly and helpful. The site is definitely abundant with wildlife and I enjoyed exploring it looking for gnomes. Compost loo, firepit and cold water tap was all we needed so great basic facilities.

Mi è piaciuto Quiet site, very clean facilities, fridge provided, beautiful trees. The gate system worked well and I felt very secure there.

Non mi è piaciuto I would have liked a food waste composting bin to be provided. For the price of the camping id also expect a bit more like a clothes washing machine and a water tap in the camping field.

Mi è piaciuto A lovely small campsite, with friendly volunteers and all I needed to be comfortable. I had a pitch in the field which had plenty of space from other campers due to how to the grass was cut. I picked blackberries for breakfast every morning. Lastly I really enjoyed my evening in the sauna which was easy to use, very clean and went up to a good 85 degrees temperature.

Non mi è piaciuto I felt a bit worried about security at night as a solo traveller when there weren't many people around, but it seemed like a very quiet and safe village and everything was fine. The bins were also overflowing a bit and there was nowhere to compost food waste. It would be nice to be able to put it with the garden compost to go back into the food-growing.

Mi è piaciuto I liked the no music policy as i got to enjoy the beautiful sound of the stream and birds. It was the perfect setting for me as i had too much stuff to wild camp, but it felt quite wild with with the woods and meadow outside my tent. A bird landed on my tent at one point and said hello. Great facility block. Easy uphill walk onto the moor. I liked how each pitch had a firepit although I didn't use mine.

Non mi è piaciuto It felt a bit strange not to meet any owners or staff members but i could see that the place was being well looked after.
