Mi è piaciuto Quiet site, short walk to Polzeath Beach. Helpful friendly staff.

Non mi è piaciuto Toilet and shower facilities are dated. I didn't enjoy the showers, hard to regulate the water temperature, they were not as clean as you would expect. Pitches 1 to 7 are a bit of a squeeze for larger caravans and motorhomes. I really didn't like looking out at the stone blocks, maybe some soft planting to disguise it would help. Felt very closed in.

Mi è piaciuto Large grass pitches, lovely view across the valley. Massive site but each field very separate so feels spacious. Toilets and showers warm and always clean. Well away from roads so no traffic noise. Lovely bar on site.

Mi è piaciuto Lovely hot clean showers. The weather was chilly and the block was heated so that was nice. I love the dark sky, no lights rule.

Non mi è piaciuto Would have preferred a pitch on the top field but the weather had been wet and I think we were put on the lower field for that reason.

Mi è piaciuto Great peaceful site if you go away from electric hook ups. Saw deer from the caravan.

Mi è piaciuto Love being able to walk straight into the forest, so peaceful. We saw roe deer, rabbits, squirrels. Like being able to choose where to pitch. Good showers.

Non mi è piaciuto 10.30pm is a bit early for the gate to be locked. Pitches a bit expensive.

Mi è piaciuto Great site, friendly helpful welcome. Bread ordering service really useful. They put us on a pitch with a sea view as requested. Well kept, clean facilities. Lovely large pitch helped by the fact the site was very quiet in May.

Non mi è piaciuto Nobodies fault I guess but bit disappointed the swimming pool was out of order but they did offer use of a pool on a site up the road.

Mi è piaciuto The open free feel to the site and it's closeness to the beach and town.

Non mi è piaciuto The site has obviously seen better days, the manager is doing the best with what he's got, keeping the very dated facilities clean. Shame the little bar on site didn't allow dogs in.

Mi è piaciuto Lovely big grassy pitches, we could choose where to pitch. Heated indoor pool open from 2pm to 7pm, a fabulous bonus and lovely and warm water. Being there in May it was quiet and sometimes had the pool to ourselves. Well organised on arrival, a note for us on the door because reception not open all day when it's quiet, welcoming us and for us to choose a pitch and go back to reception when it was open. Just a lovely well loved and well looked after site.

Non mi è piaciuto Not the sites fault. Just a bit disappointed that the nearest beach down the lane has lost its access onto the beach due to erosion. It would be good to be advised of this by the site and re directed to the next closest which isn't much further just turn left at the little T junction instead of right.

Mi è piaciuto Lovely quiet little site we stayed 3 nights as part of a tour travelling north. Cut grass, we needed to level up a tiny bit. The panoramic view is beautiful but it was foggy when we were there. There is a lovely path through Hagg Wood at the side of the site, the gorse was in flower, great dog walk.

Mi è piaciuto Fabulous site, we loved every minute of it. Surrounded by nature, from our pitch we saw a Hobby, a Tawny Owl, squirrels, wood mouse, spotted woodpecker, bats, a very friendly Robin, house Martins, swallows. Enjoyed fires in the evening in our wood burner. Had a dip in the river 1/2 mile from site and cycled along trail to Fingles Bridge Inn. Site owners very friendly and helpful, he had warned us about challenge with a caravan. Magical wooden play areas for children.

Non mi è piaciuto Tricky with a caravan, not impossible but don't attempt with anything you don't want to risk scratching, 2 miles of narrow lanes, hedge vegetation touching either sides. Access into site very tight, with short narrow gravelled slope to negotiate. Water supply bit slow and bit of an odd colour at times. Just boiled any water we used.
