Mi è piaciuto The boat has kept most of its original interior which the kids loved. Well equipped with cooking equipment. The location is fantastic, about 10 yards from the water and the beach pretty much to ourselves most of the time. The boats are positioned so that you aren't overlooking each other and it feels quite private, the camping is a little away from the boats. The lady running the site and the lady who helps cleaning were really friendly and happy to chat if you wanted to but were happy for you to keep to yourself if you wanted, just the right balance. The site is clean, wasn't too keen on composting toilet but it was only a very short stroll to the normal flushing toilet (was near where you park so usually combined a trip to fetch something aswel). The feel of the whole place was so relaxed, we just loved it. Lots of little things had been provided that just make your holiday easier, such as a fridge at the boat and a shared freezer, wheelbarrows to take stuff to the boat, some wood and fire lighters provided and more available to buy, running water in the boat for washing up, blankets for in the evening andlotsofother things. You get the feeling alot of thought and care has been given to providing you with what you need for a good stay. Will definitely be returning (would have been again this year if we could have). Just fantastic.

Non mi è piaciuto Not a dislike but a consideration. There's quite a big step into one of the bedrooms, its all part of the character of the boat and wasn't a problem for us but for older and less able people it may have been difficult. Also the door is quite low so you need to stoop to get in and out, the kids loved it but could cause problems for very tall people.

Mi è piaciuto We had a fantastic time, the lake is beautiful, with great access straight from the site, perfect for canoe or paddle boarding, kids could go pretty far out before it got deep. Site perfect for bikes, kids had a great time cycling round, cars seemed to go very steady so felt quite safe. The staff were all very friendly, and I overheard them talking to other campers about issues and they were very respectful and approachable in the way they spoke to them. The lighting on the site seemd quite well thought out, well lit outside but not glaring. Would definitely stay again, would try and get closer to the lake.

Non mi è piaciuto These are minor things and definitely did not put us off, just suggestions and observations. The lights in the toilets later at nights are dimmed, so end up with no lights on over the cubicles, kids were struggling a little. The play area isn't actually in the park, its just outside the entrance so I didnt let mine go and play unless I was actually stood with them as they were too close to the road. There is only 1 toilet/shower/washing up block, that is quite a walk away from the tents but we had the bikes so I did good getting my exercise in🤣, but worth noting for older visitors. Also, abit random, but I notice at alot of sites you can't take dogs into the toilet, completely understand the idea as not everyone's keen on dogs and they can be messy but as someone who camps on my own with my dog quite often and won't leave her outside it would be really great if there was maybe a separate toilet that does allow dogs.

Mi è piaciuto Fantastic site, on top of a hill for great views but in a dip to protect from wind. Toilets and showers were spotless. Outside and inside washing up areas, with washing up liquid, kettle and plug sockets for charging if needed. Went for a lovely walk through the woods which join the campsite. The site overall was so clean with a really relaxed atmosphere. You won't be disappointed if stay here. Will be returning soon.

Mi è piaciuto Fantastic site, basic facilities done really well. Friendly owner came round each day and was very friendly and accomodating, beautiful peaceful location. Can't wait to come back.

Mi è piaciuto Small site surrounded by countryside. Toilets, showers and washing up area kept clean. Space in the middle of the field for kids to play.

Non mi è piaciuto Unfortunately we were put on the bottom side of the field next to another family on quite a tight pitch ( all the other pitches looked a better size), they weren't rude or loud but we could here every word they said at night while both them and us were settled down in our tents and we were kept awake (not their fault, we were just that close). Not sure if the site had overbooked as it seems the pitch would have been perfect for one tent. This was the only dislike though, so would definately stay again, but maybe call in advance and ask to be put further up the field.

Mi è piaciuto Stayed in otters cabin, really clean,comfy, warm and dry. Fridge, radiator and kettle in the cabin. Lots of seating outside if the weathers nice. Campsite seemed a good family atmosphere. Owners really friendly and helpful. Great acces to a lovely river on the site where there's lots of places to paddle.

Non mi è piaciuto No dislikes but suggestions, maybe a table that goes over the fridge to increase room for making cups of tea. A small bin in the cabin would be useful for teabags. Food was nice in pub and nicely priced but could have done with a few more chips. But will order an extra couple of portions when we come again now we know.

Mi è piaciuto We had a great time, having a huge flat field and a river to play in kept the kids busy. Was lovely to sit out with the fire at night. Owners on site and really helpful. Basic camping done really well, clean toilet and sink, fire pits to help yourself to and fire wood sold on site. Definitely recommend, will definitely be returning.

Non mi è piaciuto Can't fault it other than that we were only staying one night😁, would have loved to have stayed longer but had to go home!!

Mi è piaciuto Lots of space for kids to run, flat pitches, fire pits, pitch where you want. Very dog friendly. Sheep grazing in the field with you, friendly owner. Gate thats kept closed (im sure this is to keep the sheep in but it made me feel secure 😁🤣). Clean shower/toilet block, free showers with endless hot water. We loved it, even though it was torrential rain while we were there. Basic camping done really well.
