Mi è piaciuto Beautiful setting next to the river, farm shop & nice shower block. Loved that kids can play on rope swings & paddle in the river & that it was deep enough to swim in.

Mi è piaciuto Great view, lots of space, friendly owner. Loved the stone circle feature.

Non mi è piaciuto Automatic lights in the toilet going off after 3 mins - take a torch Intermittent shower temp boiling/freezing due to water pressure so avoid busy times. Looked a bit run down in places, like the saggy marquee, and the wood piles have rubbish dumped on them.

Mi è piaciuto We stayed for 6 nights in a campervan & awning with electricity in August. Off ground campfires & dogs allowed. Had lots of choice as to where to pitch. Lovely big pitches with water & fresh water . Lots of space & healthy grass. Great little shop on site open Thurs - Sun. Food sold in The Cabin was very good & reasonably priced. Again, open Thurs-Sun only. There was live music Fri & Sat nights. Nice wooden play area for under 12s. The site manager was friendly & helpful.

Non mi è piaciuto The toilets stalls were cobwebby & insecty. The toilets & showers are clean but walls & floors are not. The middle general waste area was messy & there were not enough recycle bins. The toilets at the showers in the lower field were locked. The washing up areas didn’t have waste bins so people put rubbish in the food waste. The pitches were on slopes but that’s Devon for you. There is a dog kennel nearby not too bad & although my daughter didn’t hear them, I was aware so wore earplugs at night. Overall I felt that the site was underused, lots of un-mown pitches & messy areas that weren’t well hidden. I’d still recommend it but I won’t rush back as there are other sites in the area to try. A little on the pricy side but electricity prices have gone up this year.

Mi è piaciuto Small family run site on working farm. David very friendly and helpful, letting us stay an extra night, taking a parcel delivery for us & lending an extra long hook up cable.
