Mi è piaciuto Huge campsite with flat pitches and clean facilities. The campsite has a bar on an old bus and different food trucks that come on the weekends. They seemed to have a small army of teenage staff and the facilities were regularly cleaned. You can walk into cheddar from the campsite and enjoy a walk along the river.

Non mi è piaciuto Too busy for us. It was absolutely rammed and hedge pitches become a real premium. We were put in the middle of a field even though we were staying for a few nights. We went to chicken wing food truck and we got there as it opened but still had to queue for an hour so not brilliant. Lots of rules and regulations around the site and it didn’t feel like “free range camping” as we were told where we could go.

Mi è piaciuto We were shown around the site by a friendly man in a little buggy who helped us pick out the perfect spot! It was a hot weekend so we wanted a bit of shade and found a great pitch. Really relaxing nice campsite. Lots of room and has everything you need. There is a fridge, freezer and quick dishwasher on site. There is a cafe/ bar on site that does breakfast in the morning and pizzas in the evening and you can get a pint of cider and sit by the lake with the resident chickens and the turkey. Very nice.

Non mi è piaciuto The pizza was TOO good! We now have to go back just to have it again!

Mi è piaciuto Spacious flat camping pitch with enough room for our two tents! Really clean facilities. Noise from motorway was not really noticeable for us and felt really peaceful. Pepper Pot Pub Cafe was great for breakfast and coffees. We could even take coffee back to drink at our tent.

Non mi è piaciuto For some reason did not have lids for takeaway coffee which did make transport back to the campsite more tricky!

Mi è piaciuto Great campsite with cafe on site which did coffee and food which was always great! Fantastic having a full English every morning! Staff in there were lovely and it always seemed busy with not just campers! Lots of electric pitches and facilities on site had everything we needed. The animals were fun too!

Non mi è piaciuto Does get a bit cramped at busy times. A bit more expensive than others we have stayed at but had facilities to make up for it.

Mi è piaciuto We loved our stay at Galton Campsite. It was quite a busy weekend but there is plenty of room on the campsite and everyone was spaced out well, you can pick your own pitch was was really good. The owner came round on her tricycle every evening to check on the new arrivals which was nice. Toilets were half in a barn but very nice and kept clean. We were able to have our small fire on site which was a bonus also! The site location is ideally placed to visit loads of nice places in Dorset such as Durdle Door, Lulworth Cove and Weymouth. There was also a very nice take-away pizza place in Dorchester (Basilico).

Mi è piaciuto We enjoyed our stay at Treacle Valley, nice camping pitches, plenty of room and nice toilet block facilities. We went during the Covid19 summer of 2020 and the toilet block was cleaned throughout the day with social distancing measures in place to ensure the safety of the campsite users. There are beautiful views around and the site is ideally placed to visit nearby Torquay. We took the dog with us and he had a nice time, the campsite also allows firepits and sells firewood on site which was excellent.

Mi è piaciuto We had a great time at Appledore Park camping over the bank holiday weekend. It is very looked after and we had plenty of space. The central shower block had everything we needed, hot showers, clean toilets and washing up facilities. The shower block was kept very clean and the bins emptied regularly. The location is ideally suited for access to Dartmoor and we had a great time exploring the area and getting held up by cows in the middle of the road! We would definitely like to return to Appledore again !

Non mi è piaciuto A freezer is available but it is small and there wasn't much room to store our freezer blocks.
