Mi è piaciuto Just love this place for a local camp. Everything you need - sizeable informal camping pitches ideal for single tents or groups. Dog friendly. On site pub serving great food (huge menu with daily specials and snacks) from 8am until 8pm. Good choice of alcoholic and non alcoholic drinks including milk bar and slushie. Daily free motorbike show (people turning up on their bikes who are all so friendly). Also nicely placed for a walk to Lotherton Hall (about 10 mile round trip by foot). Looking forward to the next trip. There are shops/supermarket a short drive away. Really love this place, it's such a great place to visit and definitely a destination camp site, once you are there you don't need to go off site. Keep up the amazing work Squires

Non mi è piaciuto Although the shower blocks were cleaned regularly and always stocked up with toilet roll (love that you get a toilet, sink and shower together in a unit - do all your morning business in one private room) they were a bit dated and a bit fusty smelling but don't let this put you off. That said for the price you can't complain, so maybe this should be in the box above and this box should be kept empty as this is a great site to visit

Mi è piaciuto Lovely big camping field which was level in most areas and well shielded by trees at one end. As site is so big it wasn't cramped, so great if you have kids or dogs to run about on. Self contained shower/toilets - so you can do what you need to do in one place and have privacy 👍. £1 token for 4 minute shower which was nice and hot. Relaxed site with no list of rules, other campers on the site didn't go crazy and people seemed to be relaxed and respectful of others (it was a bank holiday). Do have hard standing pitches for caravans/motor homes with electric hook up. Really enjoyed eating at Squires Cafe Bar - really nice food and drinks, not over priced and huge portions (they have their own farm so meat is fresh). Friendly bikers and staff. Enjoyed looking at the bikes that turned up. Squires bar is dog friendly too. Squires is well used and might not appear pristine but this just adds to the charm to such a legacy of a well known bikers cafe. We walked to Lotherton Hall through woodlands and fields after a short sketchy stretch of unpaved road but it was worth it. Well worth a visit and definitely recommend. Will return.

Mi è piaciuto 2 night stay in a tent - feedback. Excellent site and clean facilities, showers only cost £1 and last 10 minutes but they seemed to last forever!. Music in the shower/toilet block was great. Have a washing machine, tumble drier and 2 pot wash stations. Staff are always available until late in the evening if you need anything and then there is an out of hours telephone number. Very friendly and helpful staff. You can hire fire pits and purchase disposable bbq (reasonable prices), fire wood, fire lighters etc so you don't have to take with you or go out looking during your holiday. Also have a stack of bricks for you to use under your BBQ (so you don't have to cart your own like we did). They have a library of dvds that you can borrow. On site burger van open on mornings and evenings every day, to which i recommend the breakfast sandwiches. A well equipped children's play area at the far end of the site, which is visible from most areas so those with children can keep an eye on them whilst you relax. There are coded barriers and cctv on site giving you reassurance of safety and security of your belongings. Locally there are pubs and shops incase you need supplies and staff advised that just a 25 minute drive into matlock/peak district so ideally located to explore other areas. Top notch site. Would certainly recommend this site and will be returning in the future for a longer stay.
