Mi è piaciuto Quiet and relaxed site with a lovely restaurant and bar. Wasn't busy and noisy. Showers were great once we'd figured out how the sensors worked. The pod itself was clean and as described. Would consider booking again. Staff at reception were very welcoming and easy to talk to and bar / restaurant staff were also friendly.

Mi è piaciuto Quiet site woth lovely views. Tim was very welcoming and helpful and made every effort to check we had all we needed. The bell tent was clean and comfortable and good value for money. We usually take our own tent camping but I decided it would be better to hire all the kit to save on risk of needing to dry out a wet tent so early in the season. I'd definitely go again and recommend the site to others.

Mi è piaciuto Spacious field meant even when busy was pitched away from others. Love having a campfire, although ran out of wood for the last nightand wasn't sure if could get hold of more on site. Increase of info in hut about things like this, aswell as local walking routes would be really useful although may have been there but whiteboard was partially rubbed off. Toilets were great, although other users left them a little messy at times (no fault of owners as they were thoroughly cleaned regularly). Same for the communal hut. Wasn't sure whether should use the hose to fill containers for water (kitchen tap not convenient if use larger water containers) so some info or signs would be helpful. Kids loved small play area and animals and TV hut. Didn't use shower due to lack of changing space...now you have new toilets maybe remove the one next to the shower and extend the shower space to allow for changing space so that people don't need to lock the while hut for privacy, which removes that space for others at that time? Watching birds of prey during the day and bats at night was lovely. In general, a great little basic site in easy drive to shops and many, many other places of interest.

Non mi è piaciuto Nothing disliked, but more information available in main hut about local walks, where to find things, etc would be really helpful. Just a minor thing.

Going to partition off where the sofa is currently for changing space. And look at converting the 2 containers into toilet/shower blocks. Looking at getting something for the bigger kids to play on, was thinking trampoline but worried they might hurt themselves. Any ideas would be greatly appreciated. Emz

Mi è piaciuto Everything! Plenty of space and helpful, friendly owners who checked everything was OK every day. Portaloos were very clean and didn't smell,even in the extreme heat. Fresh, cold tap water available and bins for disposing of rubbish. The site is in easy drive of lovely walks and cycle routes in the forest. Local walks were shown on notice board, although we didn't attempt these due to the extreme heat. Something for next time! We will be back!

Mi è piaciuto Love this site! Pitches well spread apart and some hidden in trees meaning we hardly saw another person. Basic facilities were clean and good enough for what we needed. If you are happy with a portaloo and a tap, then this is ideal! Didn't try the showers and they are, as states, open and cold water. Things to consider...water tap is above a shelf so if you take a large water cannister you may need a hose attachment. 2L bottles fill fine The walks through the site are lovely, lots of exploring. Beware of ticks, we managed to pick up quite a few, fortunately carry a tool to remove as live rural and they are common around us. Forgot to bring a bug repellent...would recommend you have one and use it! The noise of the A37 can be quite loud depending on weather / wind direction but not too much to cause a problem. Enjoyed listening to the owls calling at dusk! The gravel track to leave the site is daunting but we made it fully laden in a 3008. If you are concerned about your car definately use the top car park and find a wheel barrow to transport stuff to your pitch. Most pitches cannot be reached by car anyway due to risk if getting stuck in undulating ground. All in, we had a fab stay and will definately consider returning in the future.

Mi è piaciuto The campsite was clean and tidy and quiet. The cabin had everything we needed and was well laid out. Wonderful view of the estuary leading out to the sea. Fresh eggs and Welshcakes on arrival were lovely! The owner was friendly and welcoming and the children enjoyed looking around the farm. The site is in easy reach of the town and nearby beaches. We would definately book again!

Non mi è piaciuto Not particularly a dislike but the wifi signal was poor and mostly unusable. Possibly better closer to the reception building. If you are someone who can't live without wifi then this will be an issue for you. Otherwise it is great to take time out from being online!
