Mi è piaciuto First time camping at Quarry Hill as a solo mum with 2 daughters. This site is honestly the safest I have ever felt! There's so many positive things about this place to list but here's the very best bits: - The owners have an ANPR type system to monitor vehicles coming in and are prompt to check/ greet vehicles as they arrive. - Gates close at night so no entry or exit after a set time( can't remember what time this is) -Pizza van selling sourdough pizzas 10/10 -Waffles, jackets, burgers, sandwiches sold from the snack van along with hot and cold drinks. 10/10 -Owners visible at all times if you have any issues or need advice/help. -Family run site where Paul, Kate and all the kids muck in and mingle with guests. -Cleanest toilet and shower I've ever seen at a campsite. -Games areas for the kids including football nets, badminton. Poop tables, table tennis, connect 4 and a nightly 'bear hunt' where teddy bears are hidden by the owners and Paul takes all the kids to hunt for them by torchlight. - Kids were able to help collect eggs and my eldest even went to one of the family members stables to see the horses. - Feels like visiting friends after only 1 weekend. - Beautiful sunset views from the top We are already booked to go back in 2 weeks to try out one of the bell tents on offer. This place will definitely be our annual camping destination. ANPR of all registered vehicles booked to camp so Paul can check who is arriving on site. Mi è piaciuto Beautifully kept small campsite with good spacing between pitches. Kitchen amenities above and beyond any other campsite I have stayed at- fridges, microwave, kettle, toaster, jobs and small oven bailable for campers. Washing clothes, teas towels, bowls and washing up liquid provided. Bathroom facilities have a air of luxury for a campsite too. Constant supply of quality loo roll and bath mats provided for every party for the shower. Bathroom was always impeccably clean. Honesty shop offers a range of food and drink from cakes, jams and ice creams to pot noodles, fizzy pop and s'mores kits. There is also a range of wood and fire lighters for your fire pit. All are paid for by cash in an honesty box or scanning the QR code. The campsite was quiet even though every pitch has family campers and the rules were followed which made the stay much more pleasurable. We stayed in Chestnut Bell tent. 1 fixed double bed, 2 fixed single beds and a futon sofa bed. All had beautiful bedding, plenty of blankets and lovely crisp sheets. There was a dinner set and washing up equipment supplied as well as a starter kit for the wood burner. We also hired a bbq for our stay which was a bargain! We absolutely loved our stay here so much we asked if we could extend it but unfortunately there was no availability. We will definitely be back!!!
