Mi è piaciuto Large pitches. Friendly staff who met us and escorted us to the pitch. Nice walk down to the beach. Warm showers. Dog bins available frequently. Ice cream van comes round in the evening. Lovely location for exploring the area.

Non mi è piaciuto Not many showers for the size of the site. Only one block. A few more mops for people to use might be nice as the floors were dirty after people had finished. Consider maybe getting catering cans eg chips or pizzas might like to come round.

Mi è piaciuto Spacious pitches, spotless facilities, friendly staff, secure dog trail. Welcoming atmosphere. Really nice site with beautiful flowers. The lilac smells wonderful. Close to Shrewsbury and Oswestry do a good base for days out.

Non mi è piaciuto Having to get out of car to undo the chain at the gate each time we arrived and left.

Mi è piaciuto The staff are all really friendly. There is a van selling drinks and snacks which is handy. The location is great as it is so close to Anglesey and the pitches are good, especially in the large non-electric area. There is a botanical garden accessible from the site which is really good for dog walks (or without dogs) and ends at a pub. Plenty of hot water in the dishwashing area and showers.

Non mi è piaciuto Only 3 showers and 4 toilets per gender for a large site. It could do with more. There were a few festival style toilets in the big field which helped.

Mi è piaciuto Superb location with direct access to the beach. The coast path goes directly through the site so it is ideal for walks. Friendly staff. Nice swimming pools and okay area for children. Good number of gender neutral toilets and showers.

Mi è piaciuto Good location between Pont Aven and Concarneau (both about 25 mins drive) and Nevez (about 5 mins). It has direct access to the coast path (nice walks in both directions) and a beach through a gate with code access for security. There is a big field just outside the gate for dog walking (they aren’t allowed on the beach in summer but people were taking them on in the evenings). The pitches are good size and have plenty of tree shade. There are 2 facilities blocks, though the oldest doesn’t have inside toilets (there was an accessible one open in the women’s block for the first couple of days we were there but then it was closed). The showers and toilets outside are gender neutral which we liked. The pool area is great, with different pools plus slides. The snack bar does very good chips and decent pizzas. The shop is well stocked and you don’t have to order bread/croissants the night before.

Non mi è piaciuto WiFi was patchy and kept dropping out which was frustrating as we paid for it.

Mi è piaciuto Great location with a path leading to Swanage (25 minutes walk give or take). Friendly staff. Handy location and gorgeous scenery. Hot showers and individual bathrooms with shower, toilet and sink, plus a toilet block next to the camping field. Plenty of hard standing pitches as well as the field which were a bit quieter. My kids both commented that it reminded them of French campsites we’ve stayed on. There was live music on the bank holiday weekend which was fun. A decent food van selling burgers, breakfast baps, coffee etc. There are obviously plans to do the site up.

Non mi è piaciuto Couldn’t see any recycling facilities so had to throw everything in together. Not as many bathrooms as needed over the bank holiday when the site was full. To address other reviews, yes, the site looks scruffy in places with a lot of long term pitched caravans, but that didn’t affect our enjoyment.

Mi è piaciuto Lovely site with huge pitches. The dog field is a particular standout as it is enclosed and secure. The location is great, with a short walk down to Red Wharf Bay. The facilities are spotless and very good. Friendly staff on arrival.

Mi è piaciuto Friendly welcome from the owner. Hot shower with decent pressure. The shower is powered by £1 coins but one lasts for ages - all 3 of us had a shower and there was credit left over. The site is basic but value for money. There is one toilet and one shower but the site is small so we never had a problem. It is close to a very good pub and within a short drive of lots of nice places. The site is small and surrounded by trees filled with crows and views over the hills so a very peaceful place where you feel close to nature.

Non mi è piaciuto It isn't a dislike as such but a mop in the toilet and shower cubicles would be useful so people can clean out after use for the next person. The site doesn't take cards so make sure you have cash.

Mi è piaciuto A basic site close to an excellent pool and snack bar which the teens could go to independently. It’s free and there is a large lawn and lots of picnic benches where locals come. The river has a path which is good for dog walks. The toilet and showers are good condition (heat variable showers which is always good). There is free WiFi if you sit at the entrance where there are chairs. The staff are friendly and also run the snack bar by the pool/river where the menu of the day is worth checking out. They also serve breakfasts and you can order bread and croissants. The site is close enough to the small town to walk up and have a wander round the cafes and shops and there is a decent supermarket there. Anything else you’ll need to get in the car (visit Lugo, Ourense and Santiago all within an hour or so).

Non mi è piaciuto Only a minor thing but make sure you have an adapter for the electric as they are old style plugs (the owners kindly leant us one). Make sure to include all your equipment/awnings/tents on the booking form (though I’m not sure if there is an option to go into detail) as we were charged more than our initial booking when we arrived because the owner added on our awning which caused some confusion (it came to the same amount as the deposit so we thought he was charging us the pitch up commission again).

Mi è piaciuto A nice basic site with a good pool and a lake to walk around (great for dog owners). There is a small play area for younger kids, and older kids will be happy with the pool. There is a basic shop selling chocolate, snacks and milk and you can order bread. The bar/restaurant is by the lake and serves really good burgers as well as drinks and ice cream. The pitches are huge and there are two utilities blocks with a decent number of showers and loos. Ours backed onto fields full of sunflowers which was gorgeous!

Mi è piaciuto Really nice site with a good lake and field to walk dogs in. The pool with slides is nice and the bar area is lovely to sit in especially when the sun goes down. The bar serves excellent tapas to eat here or take away. The toilet blocks are good (though you’ll need to take your own loo paper). There is a very small village within 20 minutes walk that has a small supermarket and a nice boulangerie but otherwise you’ll need to get in the car to go anywhere. The owners are new and are trying to expand and build up the site and are very friendly. The pitches are large and divided with hedges which is great for dog owners as they are nicely private.

Non mi è piaciuto We didn’t find anywhere to order bread for breakfast though as we were out early to explore the area we weren’t too bothered.

Mi è piaciuto Lovely site with large pitches (sometimes they are quite small in Spain) and the terracing means you don’t feel crammed in. The facilities were clean and there were lots of showers and sinks. The washing up sinks always had hot water. The location by the beach was ideal for older kids as we could send them off knowing they would be fine. There are a couple of restaurants along the front and our favourite place was the small snack bar (dog friendly and cheap). The little shop is well stocked and reasonably priced.

Non mi è piaciuto Not a dislike about the campsite itself, but dogs aren’t allowed on the beach in July and August so worth bearing in mind (though discretionary first thing and last thing). Getting down to the site in the middle of the day is tricky because you have to sit in the traffic to get down to the beach.

Mi è piaciuto Location by the river and close to the village. View of the ruined castle was spectacular. Excellent pizzas in the campsite restaurant. Friendly barman and waitress. Crepes and waffles sold from 3-6 every day. Clean toilet and shower facilities- best of the 3 sites we stayed at on this trip. Large pitches with good tree shade (though some didn’t have as much so I guess a bit of luck is involved. Very nice pools with areas for young children so lots of space.

Non mi è piaciuto The bar/restaurant has tables outside that are in full sunlight- we moved one as we wanted to be in the shade and got told to move it back but the waitress was happy for us to keep it there when we explained we have a nervous dog who would bark so didn’t want to sit inside. We moved it back when we’d finished. A few umbrellas would be useful.

Mi è piaciuto Clean site with good size pitches, all had some shade from trees. Directly located on the riverbank. Dog friendly (they liked paddling and drinking at the river). Short, pretty walk into the village. Clean and plentiful shower/toilet facilities. Friendly staff. Good pool- not huge but nice for a cooling splash. Good selection of food vans nightly selling burgers/crepes etc. Free local WiFi.

Mi è piaciuto Great location by the lake- direct access to the beach and swimming area plus launching space for paddleboard and kayak. Big pitches. Friendly and helpful staff. Location great for exploring on foot or by car. Nice pool and bar. Basic shop selling tinned/packet groceries plus able to order bread, croissants etc for the following morning. Felt very safe to let the kids go wandering about. Free WiFi at the reception area.

Non mi è piaciuto Toilet blocks need sorting- one was small and dated but had hot showers, the other was newer and spacious but the showers were cold. Some of the pitches were very sloping.

Mi è piaciuto The caravan was huge, spotless and well equipped. Bedding was provided which was useful. Dog friendly. Fabulous location for exploring the area. Good dog walking field on-site and parking next to the caravan.

Mi è piaciuto Large services pitches in beautiful countryside. The facilities were all spotless and warm with plenty of hand sanitiser stationed around the entrances. The pre-arrival information was excellent - no check in in person needed (though the staff we met were all friendly). The hot drinks machine was welcome in a cold, wet week! We'll use the site again if we're in the area.

Mi è piaciuto This is a lovely peaceful site with stunning views and well placed between Aberdovey and Machynlleth. Staff were friendly. Pitches are level and we didn't feel crammed in my neighbours. There is a small play area for younger children but the older ones were happy running about the firld and making friends with dogs. The shower rooms themselves were excellent. It was great to have a large room with shower, sink and toilet plus space to change.

Non mi è piaciuto There is quite a walk from the camping field and touring pitches to the facilities (they're in the middle of the static caravans) but a toilet and washing up sink in the touring field helps.
