Mi è piaciuto Silence even though its proximity to the A road out of Dorchester was a bonus. Nice to watch the sheep in the adjacent field. There are a lack of campsites near Dorchester so finding this one so close was a great find even though it had no facilities.

Mi è piaciuto The spaciousness. It is a huge campsite spread over a number of open fields and woodland. Nice walks and safe cycle rides around Purbeck to Studlands. Good facilities in the central cabin and there were portaloos spread around the huge site. There was a reasonably priced burger and pizza hut on site which seemed to be very busy for dinners and breakfasts. The woodland camping area was more packed with campers and unavailable to us but the fields were very spacious and great for children playing games. Very nice campsite.

Mi è piaciuto Lovely setting on a working farm. Excited by the sheep round up and watching a pair of red kites patrolling overhead in the evening. Glorious. Good facilities too. Good price.

Non mi è piaciuto Nothing. Wouldn't suit long motorhomes as the hardstandings are about 6m long.

Mi è piaciuto Beautifully maintained campsite with lovely views into a stud farm. Good facilities but limited. Perfect for us though. Nice wash up area with piping hot water. Friendly staff sending me to a hard standing instead of chancing the field in wet weather. Attractive fishing pond if you are that way inclined. Close to an old Byway for a very pretty walk. Crowborough and a pub just 1.5 miles away.

Mi è piaciuto Loved the spaciousness of the site and the hardstanding (gravel) areas for winter camping. Adequate toilet facilities with nice hot showers. Bit of a problem at first because Pitchup had not sent my booking details to the lovely lady at Barleylands so I had no information regarding the facilities codes until I phoned up. There is no actual registration, you just go to your designated pitch. The place is huge!! Good value with electric included. Well placed for touring Essex. The Dog and Shepherd pub nearby was really nice.

Mi è piaciuto Quiet and spacious. Close to forest for walking and cycling. Next to Anglo Saxon Village. Near Bury St Edmund's. Friendly owners. Horses to watch.

Non mi è piaciuto Not really a gripe but wifi dies not reach to non electric pitches and there is little if no phone signal unless (I am told ) you are Vodaphone. Not a problem for one night but would be an inconvenience for long stay. This seems to be a problem with a lot of sites in Norfolk and Suffolk - phone signals are lacking for a lot of big providers. I am on Virgin!!

Mi è piaciuto Nice quiet pitch very close to Sandringham. Elsan disposal and water on site but no other facilities. Pub right there for food at reasonable price if needed. Electricity paid per kw used rather than set price. Great price. Very friendly owner.
