Mi è piaciuto We stayed at Lady Willington Camping & Caravan Park after an earlier stop further north and were immediately pleased on arrival. The grounds and surrounding area are beautifully maintained and set in a lovely part of the country. Our pitch on the front field near the entrance offered plenty of space for our Vango Air 6XL, and we were happy to find we could park our car beside/afront the tent despite initial booking information suggesting otherwise. The electric hook-up worked perfectly, and we really enjoyed the nature around us, especially the stunning onsite horses and well maintained grounds. The horses were occasionally noisy in the early hours, along with an enthusiastic nearby cockerel - but it added to the charm of staying somewhere so rural and peaceful. Our pitch was flat, had fresh water available, and was ideal for our stay. The showers and toilets were clean and well-kept, the shower we used was hot with great pressure, though an additional toilet and shower, particularly near the front field, would make a noticeable difference during busy periods albeit we appreciate that sometimes, you just have to wait your turn haha! We met some lovely people during our stay, many of whom were camping for the first time and seemed to be enjoying it just as much. The owner greeted us on arrival and was friendly and welcoming. Pitchup doesn’t list the site as having Wi-Fi, nor does the site specifically advertise, yet when selecting dates and pitch types it states “WiFi at the unit/pitch” which caused some initial confusion. There is Starlink available, but it appears to be intended for the main building albeit some of the closer pitches may be able to access it seems. This didn’t impact our stay as 4G worked fine, especially for our daughter. The site is in a rural location, so driving out is necessary for exploring, but we enjoyed visiting nearby towns such as Whitchurch and Oswestry. Just something of note.

Mi è piaciuto We had a pleasant stay at Hollins Holiday Park for a couple of nights tent camping. The park was easy to access, generally very clean and tidy, and offered spacious pitches with reliable electric hook-ups and Wi-Fi. A small park can be found on site with a couple of swings, and small climbing frame which overlook the chickens. One of the perks was being able to walk over to the sister park, which was around a 10m walk or so - and let my daughter enjoy the swimming pool whilst they also had a bar that served food; a pint was around £6 which we have a couple of, whilst they had a fridge of desserts that my daughter sampled and enjoyed. A small shop on the sister site also contained a lot of the things you may need or have forgotten - in contrast, they had minimal options within the reception of Hollins Farm site, and we only found this open on one occasion during our stay which wasn't really an issue and we appreciate we visited in maybe the quieter part of the week. The facilities on site were great - the showers/toilets were in abundance and some of best we've experienced when camping. The pot wash area was decent and laundry area again was to a good standard and reasonably priced to use.

Non mi è piaciuto Some pitches are on noticeable inclines or declines, which wasn’t a major issue for us but did make cooking and using tables a bit awkward due to sliding —non‑slip mats would be useful. The beach, advertised as a five‑minute walk, wasn’t quite what we expected; very stony with quicksand warnings, so not ideal for a typical beach visit which we initially had expected - our own fault for not researching more I guess! You will need to drive out if you wish to go anywhere else other than the sister parks although there are some nice walks around the site. The sister hotel had events on i.e. a singer/entertainer on a couple of nights a week, which was unfortunate, as it fell on the evening we arrived and then when we'd left. Maybe an extra night would be great here to accommodate more guests. The games room felt tired, with flies at the entrance and a table football unit filled with rubbish, which was a shame given the otherwise good facilities.
