Mi è piaciuto I was only here a short time (4.30pm to 8.30am) but it was a lovely peaceful site right on the river. The owner was very friendly and talked me through options for where to camp and how (I wasn't brave enough for the ford as at the time it was quite high and fast for my little car!) The compost toilets were in good condition and there are sinks for washing up. I'd like to stay again for longer and have a swim in the river.

Mi è piaciuto Nice location, only a 5 minute drive into Church Stretton for the Long Mynd and Carding Mill Valley. Lovely peaceful site with friendly hosts and clean facilities. Also bonus goats and chickens on site!

Mi è piaciuto Large space so you're not too near other people if you don't want to be. Clean and well-stocked compost toilets. Added bonus of some goats, ducks, and chickens to watch!

Mi è piaciuto Beautiful location. Very near to Church Stretton, Carding Mill Valley and the Long Mynd. Lots of space on site, I could be away from other campers (even on a summer holiday weekend). Friendly hosts. The toilets and showers were clean and there was no wait to use them while I was there (there are 3).

Non mi è piaciuto Directions to the correct field were a little confusing- 3 of us staying at the site had to move our tents. My tent was near the train track which was loud, next time I would stay on the other side of the field (potentially a little quieter). A bit expensive for what it is.

Mi è piaciuto Absolutely beautiful location, clean facilities, and helpful staff. The only things to be aware of are clearly stated in the site description: there is no signal (which I loved!) and the showers are a short walk away. The sound of the river is lovely, but bring midge repellent with you. The site is around 10 minutes from Derwent Water and lots of activities, and there are walks all around. Would definitely stay again.

Mi è piaciuto Great stay as before. A 'back to basics' site with just toilets, which is just what we wanted. Beautiful and quiet location away from towns, with amazing walks nearby. Very helpful hosts.

Mi è piaciuto Gorgeous scenery around the campsite, the reception gave me a little map with walking routes nearby which was really useful. 25 minutes walk to the town of Trevelez which has supermarket, restaurants, and the bus.

Non mi è piaciuto Dogs barking everywhere, although this isn't really the campsites fault. Staff do not speak English, which would be fine except it is advertised as doing so.

You must have come when we had our day off after 30 days in a row. My husband is Australian and I lived there for 12 years and we are always at the campsite except for one day a week from September. Mi è piaciuto Friendly site owners, lovely and well-maintained site. Toilets were clean. Some great walks nearby, such as up to the Stiperstones. There are no cars allowed on the field so you park them just outside, if you have lots of stuff to take down you can borrow a wheelbarrow. Lots of animals around the site such as lambs, horses, and alpacas.

Non mi è piaciuto There is a dog kennels next door so there is a fair bit of barking! It didn't disturb me overnight but I heard it in the morning and evening, so bear this in mind if you're looking for a really quiet site.
