Mi è piaciuto This campsite is one of those you want to tell everyone about but at the same time tell no-one and keep it as your little secret. It's a truly magical experience and the pitches are in little groves that makes it feel super private. It's like forest bathing. We felt so relaxed. I feel the need to respond to some of the comments reg. the facilities; we go to semi-wild camping sites a lot as we don't need very much and from our experience the facilities were some of the best we've seen. We were super impressed. I feel people have no idea how rare it is to have hot water to wash your dishes at this price, we almost felt bad about using it. We don't come down this way very often but will definitely be making a point to explore more of this part of the country just so we can stay here again. Big shout out to Steph, the host, who is an absolute legend.

Mi è piaciuto We loved the views! Lots of space to cook. We are light campers and perhaps easily pleased so I guess you could say maybe some of the facilities were modest but it has everything you need. Definitely our sort of place and the atmosphere was really nice. We booked the day before and there was plenty of availability so we love that places like this exist for us hikers who rely on weather windows.

Non mi è piaciuto Not anything that can be held against the site itself, the stunning views do come at the expense of slightly sloping pitches but the owner/manager seems to know exactly where to put people based on their set up so we have no complaints. Porter loos were as you would expect for an August bank holiday weekend so take that as you will.

Mi è piaciuto Amazing facilities and the owners fun and friendly. Everything is very clean and tidy and great it's obvious that everything has been laid out with care and attention to detail. the pitches are nice and roomie with plenty of space for our car and 4m bell tent + guys. It's relatively small so it doesn't get overcrowded and the ground is excellent, no bent pegs! We really enjoyed overlooking nice fields with grazing sheep and cows. A perfect place to disappear in the midst of school holidays. Logs for open fires can be purchased on-site and fire baskets are available to borrow free of charge, provided that you purchase logs there.

Non mi è piaciuto I can't say that I have any, really. The only thing I would say, which is why I've given it 4 stars, is that the pitch is situated between a country lane and train tracks. However, the tracks are a good distance away and a train passes roughly every hour or so. The country lane is not a busy one. You won't notice either at night so its really not a problem. You also get some air traffic but again nothing that you can't ignore. Please don't be put off by this, the sight is absolutely amazing and the owners seem to have made a tremendous effort to make everything as pleasant as possible.
