Mi è piaciuto We had a really lovely stay at New Broom Camping and Caravan Site and would happily recommend it to others. The pub is lovely, the owners are very welcoming and the staff are friendly and helpful. The facilities are basic, with the toilets and showers housed in a portable cabin, but everything was clean, warm and well maintained, which is what matters most. The pitches are nice, although they're quite small and close together, so manoeuvring a caravan into position can be a little tricky. A motor mover would definitely make life easier, although we managed without one. It's only a small site, so space is understandably limited. The water point is conveniently located, although the waste disposal facilities are a little further away. One thing worth mentioning is the location. We stayed here mainly to visit Alton Towers. The site information suggested it was around 10 minutes away, but we found it was closer to 23 minutes by car, so just bear that in mind. Also, be careful with your sat nav, as ours took us past the entrance! Overall, it's a nice, simple, no-frills site that does exactly what you need it to do. It's not a luxury campsite, but it doesn't pretend to be one either. The friendly owners, lovely pub and clean facilities made it a really pleasant stay. A well-deserved 8/10 from us, and we'd happily stay again!
