Mi è piaciuto This was a lovely little site to visit. It’s an enclosed area separated from the farm and house with apple, pear and plum trees to pitch between. I was lucky enough to have the space for just myself and my dog so I didn’t have to consider where to park or where guy lines went and I left the front porch of the tent open at night to keep the air flowing as it was another warmer than forecast weekend! The owners were friendly, helpful and knowledgeable about the area. Facilities wise the compostable toilet was clean and the kitchen area was well stocked. I didn’t use any of the equipment but there was also a deckchair and parasol (with a base) should you like to use them. It was a lovely quiet area with horses nearby and very little traffic on the road. The location was handy for what I needed and it was a short drive to get to the main road. Phone signal was patchy if you need to work etc!

Mi è piaciuto Great size pitches. I was at 36 which was a ‘cul-de-sac’ so I could put barriers up to allow the dog to roam. Unfortunately he’s a pest and kept going though the plant edging! Tidy site. People were very good at tidying up after themselves.

Non mi è piaciuto Don’t leave at 9.30am on a Tuesday - it’s bin collection day!! One of the doors to the showers looked like it had been kicked in and needs to be repaired!

Mi è piaciuto This was a last minute booking so I just checked it meet my needs and looked at the rest later! Currently there is one block of facilities available which has a shower, one standard toilet and one large toilet with a baby change. The second blank is being developed. This is just off the main road for the village so it’s convenient for shops. The ground here is soft/sandy grass which makes pegging really easy. The ground does slope down towards the marina. The young lass at the reception was very nice and helpful. She has small plants and jewellery for sale there too. There are no bins on site but this is mentioned in the site info. There also appears to be work being done on making some hard standing pitches. It’s a work in progress but is a good base camp anyway.

Non mi è piaciuto Minor point that the sign says marina and not camping so at first I went passed it!

Mi è piaciuto There is lots of space here even in a hot bank holiday weekend! The showers are modern and hot. There are two sinks for washing and two separate sinks for washing up with bowls. Drinking water tap. There’s USB charging points here too. There are four clean composting toilets with four small steps to get up into and urinals for the men. There was never any queuing for the facilities. Bins are by the entrance to the car parking lot My sat nav sent me to the neighbouring farm to a gate that joins the campsite but isn’t part of it!! Don’t go up the farm track, keep going until you see the cartwheels and save your suspension!! I had a lovely first solo camping trip here with my dog and I would recommend this site and I would happily return. You can bring as much as you can carry which was helpful for me as a newbie to see how much space everything takes! I had no intention of doing anything while I was there and it was lovely just listening to the birds and the breeze in the trees. I did pop to the Norwich Camping and Leisure shop which is just a ten minute drive away which I can recommend a visit to!

Non mi è piaciuto Not a dislike more of a mention of the bird scarer that goes off in a neighbouring field roughly hourly in the mornings from 5am and in the afternoons. It’s not overly loud but worth mentioning if you have an anxious dogs etc. I think someone has previously mentioned solar lights in the toilets. I agree these would be useful. Also some picnic benches could be nice.
