Mi è piaciuto Very pleasant site - we stayed just one night on our way back to Calais and would have liked to stay a bit longer. Nice level pitch - facilities very clean. Friendly and helpful staff. Useful to know that one way in to the area is via ferry - check your sat nav!

Mi è piaciuto We loved the configuration of the pitches - we were able to choose our pitch on arrival and would recommend parking up and having a look on foot, walking down from the shower block so you can view the different levels and find little hidden away pitches :) shared electric points are positioned at various points and located on some pitches so you just need to make sure your cable can reach. Mainly grass pitches and some did look a little muddy but we managed to find a nice dry one which was also flat. Short walk into Volvic (15/20 mins some is uphill) where there are a few shops, takeaways, restaurants and bars. We had a lovely meal at Hotel du Commerce. Facilities were a little tired but clean - Cubicles have individual lighting and some lights didn’t work.

Mi è piaciuto Our favourite site of our road trip round France. The owner is lovely and so friendly, arriving in September it was probably a little quieter than usual (although still lots of guests and obviously very popular) so we could choose our pitch. Pitches are arranged really well with neat hedges so lots of privacy. Pool and bar on site - facilities really clean and well maintained. Positioned perfectly in the relatively small but busy town of St. Gilles, some lovely bars, takeaways and restaurants to choose from. A short walk to the canal where you’ll find further bars and restaurants. 30 minute drive to the coast. We loved it so much we stayed on an extra night - thank you for accommodating us!

Mi è piaciuto Excellent site catering for all - we were given a pitch number but advised we could switch if we saw another free pitch we preferred (September so not too busy). Pitch was nice and large, we did need to use levellers but overall pitches were relatively flat. It rained when we were there (in fact we had an amazing thunder storm) and our pitch did get a little muddy but we noticed others seemed to be ok. There were 2 shower blocks so plenty of availability for loos and showers, again we were out of season so probably get quite busy at high season. Clean and well maintained. Well situated - can walk into the nearby town which we would have done if staying a little longer where there are shops, bars and restaurants. We used the restaurant on our first eve which was a great plus - lovely food and nice atmosphere. On-site shop really useful too - fresh croissants in the morning!

Mi è piaciuto Lovely peaceful site, pitches are well laid out, nice and flat and ours was a perfect size for our VW camper and sun canopy awning. Owners really friendly - Facilities nice and clean - whilst it looks like you need coins to operate the showers the owner informed us that is not required - I think they’ve been updated. We didn’t use the indoor pool but it looked really invited and was well maintained.

Non mi è piaciuto Not a complaint but useful to be aware of. This was our first stop in France and we arrived late afternoon on a Tues, we were looking forward to using the restaurant but the owner advised that the restaurant is closed on Monday and Tuesday evening (this may be seasonal as we stayed in September). There wasn’t anything open locally except a bar in the village (not serving food) so we were a bit stuck for but fortunately managed to scrape a meal together from our emergency provisions. Lesson learnt for us to make sure we do our research and not assume site shops and restaurants will be open :) it was a shame as the food prep smelt divine on weds morning as we were packing up to leave. We enjoyed our fresh croissants and bread though in the morning which we ordered at reception when we arrived.
