Mi è piaciuto Toilet block with large shower. Although only one shower, it was always free when we wanted it & plenty of room to sort yourself out in there! Communal area with kettle, sink & plug-sockets (invaluable for charging phones & for plugging in my Dyson hairdryer!) Private & secluded pitches. Gazebo was a useful touch.

Non mi è piaciuto Although pitch was large, it was difficult to find uneven ground for the tent. Whilst facilities for log-burning is a nice touch, not so nice when you are down wind of the campers across from you, who are burning away into the wee hours…

Mi è piaciuto Nice pitch; communal cookhouse with pug sockets, kettles & microwaves (although it would have been nice to have been told about them - we only realised we could use them at the end of our stay) Friendly staff in the pub/restaurant & very good pizzas.

Non mi è piaciuto The men’s toilets were grim. Could only find one usable toilet, as the others were filthy and soiled. The same discarded bottles and tissues on the floor when we left as when we arrived so obviously not being cleaned regularly enough. Not nice at all.

Mi è piaciuto The staff here really made it for us: the young people in reception/shop were so personable, helpful and friendly - a real credit to the site. The warden, too, was friendly & helpful - we arrived a little late & our allocated pitch was lumpy & bumpy (from all the rabbit holes!) but he allowed us to take our pick of whichever pitch we liked without any bother whatsoever. Toilet facilities were clean & the en-suites were great. The dressing table & plug socket for my Dyson hairdryer was an absolute godsend after 3 days touring in a tent! And the rabbits were very cute!

Non mi è piaciuto There was a large group of noisy children/teens playing football & yelling until very late. Maybe signs saying to quieten down after 10pm would be useful. But it was only one group & I guess it’s part-&-parcel of the experience!
