Mi è piaciuto We booked a pitch at The Three Horseshoes over the August bank holiday weekend to have an extra little get away as well as to trial going away with our dog in preparation for our trip later in the year. We booked a non-electric grass tenting pitch, so obviously we were not expecting extraordinary amenities, but the toilets were clean and there was a water source available, you don't really need much more for basic camping, as long as you take the required equipment. This site provided a great base camp for us to tour some of the local areas, we ended up visiting 2-4 historic locations each day. The pub is a small village pub with a good variety of drinks available, the only thing that could have made the pub better was if they were to serve food (we would have eaten in the restaurant each evening), but both staff and the local customers were friendly. We noted during our stay that the pub was offering Bingo, so we decided to pop down for that, and we are so glad we did. The atmosphere was great and made our last night at The Three Horseshoes a very memorable one, and our dog became a local celebrity for the night. There was also fresh hen & bantam eggs available to purchase, which were delicious. There was also free wi-fi available to use whilst in the pub, for the cost per night, especially given the friendliness of all we encountered and the great atmosphere, camping at The Three Horseshoes is a bargain. We will definitely be back when the weather is better.

Mi è piaciuto Upon arrival, we were met by a very friendly gent who showed us where the pitch was as well as where amenities are located. Great central location as it allowed for easy access to tourist areas, sight-seeing and days out. Upon having a wander down to the Tow Bar, we were met with one of the very pleasant owners who made us feel very welcome and was genuinely interested in our plans for upcoming days out as well as offering local information, the same can also be said for her husband and co-owner who tended to be at the reception / shop during the day. Would definitely return to Pensagillas the next time we are camping in Cornwall as it is a real hidden gem. I did notice that there some negative reviews, even mentioning that the owners can be rude, however, nothing could be further from the truth, my wife and daughter had been at the pot wash one day when one of the owners came to check the cleanliness of the area (which we noted was done several times a day) she made a real effort and spent time talking to my daughter and my wife. Will definitely be back.
Non mi è piaciuto There was nothing about the stay that we disliked
