Non mi è piaciuto Walk from tent field to the Toilet block too far, could do with a toilet facility closer to the tent field, we noticed people using the edge row instead of of walking to the distant toilet block.

Mi è piaciuto Everything was brilliant, the owners were very friendly and helpful, couldn’t do enough for us made us feel very welcome and that’s not always the case when you arrive on a motorcycle, baby pigmy goats born on the day we arrived were ace, Taxi into Buith Wells brilliant butchers in the high street, nice pubs and cafes, forgot to mention the new outdoor showers on the site were fantastic, immaculately clean & hot, kitchenette was great with a kettle, fridge freezer, microwave and goodies to purchase if you need any supplies.

Non mi è piaciuto Nothing to dislike on the site, the walk to the pub over the fields is not going to be for everyone, you need a degree of fitness to climb over six farm gates some with wire attached, there are signs fixed to the gate posts to show the way, at one point you have to go through a farm yard with four barking snapping sheep dogs tethered to kennels , a bit daunting but got through without been eaten alive, the pub is great and the food is very nice, walk back on the road.

Non mi è piaciuto Showers need updating, Toilets need updating, they all worked ok but very old and dated, I understand it’s on a Farm but it doesn’t mean they can’t provide mor modern facilities.

Mi è piaciuto The individual pitches, the close proximity to the pub, the fire pits, the trees and the facilities although basic, adequate. Friendly Owners, Helpfull. Phone charging unit. Handy bus service to Windermere.

Non mi è piaciuto Road noise, the track up the steep hill with a drag trolley, should be more detailed information on this, you are ok if you only have a small amount of gear and small tent, it’s a very steep path up to the tent pitches and not for people who struggle with fitness. Cost of beer and food in pub, expensive.

It mentions walking up a steep hill and recommends light gear and compact tents. I can't make people read the description before they book but I recommend they do for the best experience. We're not responsible for the price of food or beer at the pub down the road - The Watermill. I suggest you take that up with them rather than reflect it in our review score. Most of our customers 80% give us a 10. That had been our standard score for years, which is why we have multiple awards at an average score of 9.6 or 9.7.
