Mi è piaciuto Very friendly staff - they really seemed to enjoy interacting with the guests and building a rapport with them. When I arrived, the owner suggested a pitch that met my needs (quiet and out of the way) and that worked really well. The facilities are pretty extensive for the price you're paying: the toilets are kept clean, the showers are warm and free and I didn't have to queue to use them, plenty of parking at the bottom of the hill, the on-site bar is very reasonably priced, free phone charging stations. Even though I was pretty much as far away from the facilities as possible, it's still only a ~3 minute round trip to get water/use the loo. I didn't buy anything from the on-site shop, but it's good to know that there are a few bits and bobs (non-perishable foods/snacks and a few personal hygiene products) for sale in case you forget your toothbrush or just don't fancy the camping meals you brought with you. While you can't camp next to your car (which is fair enough given the nature of the ground and there are kids/chickens roaming about the site at all hours!), it was possible for me to drive up to the pitch to offload my gear then drive back to the car park. This saved a lot of trips carrying things up the hill! Can't really fault my experience from the site's perspective. I'll definitely be back as I have some unfinished business with some of the nearby hills when the weather is slightly less damp...
