Mi è piaciuto Proximity to lovely riverside pub, proximity to bouldering and trad climbing locations. Love the barn and the events that are put.

Non mi è piaciuto Facilties really let down this campsite. 4 showers between hundreds of campers, and the showers arent nice either. The water does not drain away and you end up standing in dirty water. Not cleaned as often as they should be when the campsite is full.

Mi è piaciuto Loved how close it was to climbing and bouldering locations like Stanage Edge - the main reason we came here! Members of staff were usually very helpful and friendly. The Barn Dance event was heaps of fun and a great surprise to find out that it was on when we got there! Great campsite entertainment venue, never been anywhere else like it! Also lovely local pub The Angler's Rest with beautiful beer garden on the river.

Non mi è piaciuto The site was fully booked for the bank holiday weekend - that's 5 women's toilets, 5 men's toilets and 4 showers to share between hundreds of people and families. I do not think the facilities could handle that many people comfortably. There should have been at least double the amount of toilets and showers, and they could have been cleaned and restocked more regularly throughout the weekend. There was often no toilet paper or hand towels by the end of the day. The water drainage in the shower I used did not work, and the entire floor of the shower cubicle was covered in an inch or two of dirty shower water by the time I had finished - I could not put back on my socks or shoes and keep my feet dry at the same time. It's a shame that the facilities were the major let down of the weekend, and considering how much money the campsite brings in, I think this could be upgraded easily.

Mi è piaciuto Chose to stay at this campsite because it allowed fires, had excellent facilities including a full communal kitchen and luxury toilets, was dog friendly, and was a reasonable distance drive from family in Llantwit Major who we were visiting at the same time. Staff were very helpful with late check-in time and there was an honesty system for purchase of firewood. Walking distance to a very good pub in a nice village, and we also found a lovely trail up a large hill and through an ancient oak wood with a breathtaking view of Cardiff city once you got to the top. Lived in Cardiff for eighteen years and never got to see it from that perspective before!

Non mi è piaciuto Right next to train track with TFW trains passing quite frequently, although must admit that this did not disturb us significantly and found that we enjoyed watching the lights from the train passing through the trees at night - reminded us of something out of a Studio Ghibli film!
