Mi è piaciuto This campsite is idyllic. The scenery is beautiful, there is distant, breathtaking views towards Bridlington Bay and over countryside; I sat watching hares in the fields, and my neighbours saw deer. It's a small, back to to basics campsite, with essential facilities such as water, rubbish/recycling area, and a chemical and grey waste disposal area. The pitches are really big and there is only 10 of them total. The site is kept very clean and the grass is kept short. The location is another great point about this site; it's an 8 minute drive to Bridlington, 15 minute drive to Flamborough Head, 25 minute drive to Filey, plus lots of other breathtaking places are all within a short drive. The hosts are fantastic, hardworking people, friendly, helpful, and nothing is too much trouble for them. I 100% recommend this site and will definitely be returning soon.

Non mi è piaciuto The proximity of the pitches, all pitches are very close together even though the some of the pitches are of average, not large, size. There aren't any secluded spots either. I spoke to a couple of other campers who shared the same opinion. Because of the closeness of the pitches there is zero privacy, and my neighbours were terrible, drinking late into the night, children teasing my dogs, and urinating by my tent, screaming and shouting, throwing toys into my tent, I couldn't wait to leave. No, I didn't tell the managers because I was leaving the next day and this was just a rest stop to break my journey, but there was no rest.

Mi è piaciuto I have been camping at Fronalchen for a few years now, and I wouldn't camp anywhere else in this region. The site is a back to basics campsite, which for me, at least is what camping is all about. There are showers and toilets, an outdoor washing up area, an elsan disposal area, electric points, and a drinking water tap. You choose your own pitch, and you are left to get on with it, although the owners are only a few minutes away if needed. The owners are friendly, helpful, and very accommodating. The camping field is flat, well drained, although, being Wales, the entrance to the camping field can get a bit muddy at times with the rain. There is a river that runs alongside the field, which is perfect for the dogs, (and supervised kids), on those hot, summer days. The views are spectacular! It's the perfect place to relax and unwind, even though there is a Starbucks, and garage with a large shop just a ten minute walk away. The little town of Dolgellau is also only a short drive, or a pleasant walk of around 30 minutes away. I would 100% recommend this site and will continue to enjoy my visits here for years to come.
