Non mi è piaciuto We didn't like the non-allocated pitches. There was nothing to stop someone else pitching up really close to you. There were unsupervised children in a caravan opposite us (possibly belonging to a member of staff) who were noisy and cycling through the pitches. The swimming pool was very small and due to the children monopolising it we did not try it. The food on offer at the bar was all deep fried and the fish and chips required to be booked in advance. It felt a bit like a club that we didn't want to be part of. We had booked and paid for two nights however we moved on after one. Not for us

Mi è piaciuto We had a private bathroom and kitchen which were beautifully equipped and spotlessly keen. The welcome on check in was really friendly and informative. The bar was lovely and we enjoyed a drink there.

Non mi è piaciuto The pitch was fairly small and had very little grass on it, it was also incredibly bumpy and uneven. Driving around the site it was the same throughout and felt very tight for everyone. We had a view of the plumbing for the next door pitch's bathroom, which wasn't attractive and could be screened. Our electricity socket was in the bushes on next doors bathroom hut, difficult to find and no direction given as to where it was. Our pitch was immediately adjacent to a railway line, while the trains were not particularly frequent, when they did go by it was very loud and intrusive. We hadn't been told in advance that we were required to clean the bathroom and kitchen before we left or we would incur a cleaning fee and a security deposit was held for this. A cleaning pack could be ordered from reception at a cost. We were in a campervan and used our own cleaning equipment. We were due to stay here for two nights however life is too short to stay on mediocre campsites so we moved on after one

Mi è piaciuto This site is fabulous. Large pitches set in beautiful French countryside. The sanitary block was lovely and it was the best shower we had during our week long tour. The welcome from the owner on arrival was warm and informative. Every member of staff we spoke to were really friendly and helpful. We had electricity and fresh water immediately adjacent to our pitch. Although the site was full on the night we stayed it didn't feel busy and due to the layout of the site everyone had plenty of space. We ate at the Cowshed Bar/Restaurant and enjoyed an excellent meal. We were very sad to only spend one night, we will be back

Non mi è piaciuto Our only very small criticism would be that it would be nice to serve some more typically French dishes in the restaurant, but that is being picky.

Mi è piaciuto We loved the location right on the banks of the river. Check in was easy having been sent the access codes by text when we booked. We had booked this site as we weren't happy with our previous campsite and it exceeded all our expectations. Facilities were basic but absolutely fine, croissants were ordered the night before and delivered to site in the morning. We walked along the river bank to the pop up bar La Derive, where we enjoyed excellent drinks and frites and the music of the live band. We could still hear the music when we went back to sit outside on our pitch which was fabulous.
