Mi è piaciuto Quick and easy check in, they were expecting us, which was nice. Well maintained level pitches. Clean facilities, good size toilet/shower block. Easily accessible.

Non mi è piaciuto We booked this last minute and our usual campsite was fully booked. Sadly we decided not to stay, as the site just wasn’t for us. The pitches were too close together with no privacy, hedging between pitches may help this. It seems to be a very sociable campsite with bigger groups who appear to be regular visitors, which some may enjoy, but we prefer a quiet site and to feel more back to nature. Didn’t feel very relaxed, which is what we get away for. It is directly off an A road, so a bit of road noise. The site itself is fine and looks well managed, just realised this is not for us.

Mi è piaciuto I actually loved it here and will definitely be back for a little escape from the demands of the real world. Felt peaceful and safe. I really like how they have managed the separate dog walking field - keeping it wild with mowed paths. Looked really pretty but also respectful to wildlife. The lady who runs the site was really lovely and helpful. Toilets and showers were clean and the pot wash area had a roof. Right next to a country store and cafe. Short drive into Tattenhall Village for pubs / spar.

Mi è piaciuto Sadly we were unable to stay as our cat was very poorly on the day we booked, but I received a phone call from a very kind man late afternoon asking if we were still coming. I explained we were unable to visit and he was very compassionate. I would like to visit soon.

Mi è piaciuto Beautiful location in a beautiful part of the world. Good size pitches. Good pot wash room.

Non mi è piaciuto It was very busy this year so the shower / toilet block quickly got very dirty very quickly and put me off using the showers.

Mi è piaciuto Lovely quiet campsite, plenty of space and good location. Clean toilets and shower. Loved watching the swallows swooping low around us.

Mi è piaciuto Lovely clean site, well maintained and landscaped. Staff were friendly and really helpful. Good facilities - shower block and toilets were immaculate. Sensor showers were excellent. Good sized pitches, well equipped. Good kids play area and loved there was a secure dog field. Love all the mixed native hedges. Lots of cute rabbits running around and surrounded by farmland.

Non mi è piaciuto Not able to take dogs in bar to play pool (they do have a separate room for dog owners so can’t grumble) but kids wanted to play pool and we had to take it in turns to sit outside. Not a proper beach up that end, was told it had quick sand and was boggy. We did have the option of driving to silverdale or walking to morecombe though. Neither of these were dealbreakers and we still really enjoyed our stay.

Mi è piaciuto We stayed one night out of season and loved how quiet and simple it is. Also a really good location from the M6 and to The Lakes. Non fussy, basic amenities (as described so expected) and beautiful views. It was so peaceful as there were only 2 other pitches booked! We were contacted by the campsite soon after booking with instructions and had a choice of pitches. We chose one that was hard gravel and fairly flat.

Non mi è piaciuto Only cold water for washing up, but I do understand it’s advertised as wild camping and we coped just fine! Some of the pitches were uneven, luckily we had a choice of pitches as it was so quiet but the first pitch we chose was slightly slanted. However I’m not really sure if it would have made a difference sleeping at night?
