Mi è piaciuto We absolutely loved the setting of the campsite it was really easy to visit Scarborough, Filey and all the surrounding coast. The views from the camping field were stunning with so many beautiful walks to take. Plenty of space between campers so you weren’t invading anyone’s space or on top of each other. Felt really safe to let the youngest play football outside our tent or with his other outdoor games. There was an onsite playground which we visited once during our stay a great facility which our son enjoyed and gave him something different to do on an evening when we weren’t out exploring. We booked the site as it had a pool and we all enjoy swimming however we sadly didn’t get time to see these facilities as the timings for both booked slots and open slots didn’t work out with all our other plans. The staff were really helpful and polite and the onsite bar seemed friendly although it wasn’t open every night of our stay.

Non mi è piaciuto The touring toilets and shower facilities. There is around 4/5 toilet and shower rooms which got really dirty very quickly and you were constantly worried that someone would pull the doors open the whole time you used them. This sadly happened to myself and teenage daughter while showering. People would pull so hard on the handles that they would open after so much. We were absolutely mortified and waited to shower till we got to our second campsite of the week. The floor in these were also so dirty and people weren’t supervising little children so would often have toilet roll all over them. It’s a real shame as the site is in a wonderful location but I don’t think we would return purely on the WC and Toliet facilities.

Dal gestore: Thank you for your lovely comments and feedback. The toilet & shower block is cleaned a minimum of 4 times a day, they experience very heavy usage and it is difficult to keep up. Unfortunately, I cannot be held responsible for the way other park users treat or leave the facilities either. They have now had a deep clean after the very busy period and I have implemented a deep cleaning rota moving forward that I hope will elevate this issue. Bolt locks were put on the toilets due to users yanking the doors open and breaking the locks off. I apologise this happened and honestly other than what we have done with bolt locks cannot do anymore or be held responsible for users actions, I just wish everyone was considerate of property and privacy. Mi è piaciuto From the moment we arrived at Egremont Pines camping and caravanning site we were made to feel very welcome and nothing during our stay was too much trouble. Karl and Sue the site managers were fantastic as was Deanna the owner who educated on us about all the animals which was really fascinating to learn. We were travelling with our young son who absolutely loved the visiting the animals on site as well as taking part in the hedgehog hunts at dusk. There was plenty of space for him to play outside the tent and he loved the addition of been able to play in the treehouse. Even our daughter who is 15 years old had a great time and it felt safe enough to let her have time alone in the tent reading or watching tv while we entertained the little one outdoors on site away from our tent which isn’t always possible especially with big sites. We hired out the BBQ Hut on our last night of holiday which was a fantastic facility and lovely way to end our summer holidays. Extremely reasonably priced which isn’t always the case with some campsites as well as being spotless and all the family really enjoyed it made our holiday end on a high! The site was extremely spotless throughout these were some of the best WC and shower facilities we’ve seen. We absolutely loved been able to use the kettle and all the communal appliances that were available especially the fridge as this is something we don’t have yet in our camping set up it made cooking family meals at the tent so much easier and the kettle we loved at night for making hot chocolates. There is even a communal space equipped with a kitchen including electric hobs and cooker, tv and dining table. They have thought of everything and I’m definitely sure we will be back in the near future.

Mi è piaciuto Really clean family campsite, we enjoyed a night away here as it was only 1hr from our house so the perfect getaway. We found a Nice dog walk just up the main road that took us into the countryside. Our children aged 7 and 15 years old enjoyed the space around the tent to enjoy our games we take with us which include tennis, football and cricket. There is a selection of complimentary squash, and coffee which I thought was a really lovely touch from the campsite hosts. There is only one toliet but this never caused problems and it is well stocked with everything you need and incredibly clean. It would be a great campsite if you are in the area highly recommend.
