Mi è piaciuto This is a lovely site. There's a pub that is lovely & they do a FANTASTIC Sunday lunch (I recommend booking if you want to go for this). This is mostly a static holiday park with 6 touring pitches. The pitches are spacious with a picnic bench, water & electric. Behind the pitches is a small block with showers toilets, and a pot wash sink. The facilities are small but there are only 6 pitches & it was perfectly adequate for us, we never had to wait for anything & it was August bank holiday weekend. There's a crown green bowling pitch which residents used each morning & we enjoyed watching. There's also a day room with pool tables in, although we didn't use this. There is also 2 electric car charging points & the rate is very reasonable. The WiFi didn't really work for us at our pitch but it wasn't an issue because 4G was fine. There's not much in the immediate surrounding area, so its best if you have a car if you want to get out & about. You can walk to the river from the site & my husband did each morning to fish, there is an honesty box at the public footpath & its £5 per day. The kites are a fantastic sight to see & you can hear & see them each day from the touring pitches. As avid bird watchers we found them fascinating to watch. We drove to Knaresborough, a beautiful place, you can hire boats on the river & eat at one of many of the riverside cafes. You are also not far from Leeds & Harrogate.

Mi è piaciuto This site is so quiet & peaceful. A very short walk to the coastal footpath & an abundance of wildlife. The toilets & showers were very clean & well looked after, a washer & tumble dryer, lovely pot washing area. The gate is security locked & the whole site feels very safe. My husband didnt have the whole week off work so some of the time there I stayed as a solo female & I felt safe throughout. The coastal footpath is great, we would walk along & bird watch. The walk to Glasson Dock is short, takes around 20 minutes. You can walk in the opposite direction to Lancaster but we didnt do this. If you have bicycles I recommend you take them, they are not needed but we'd have perhaps gone to Lancaster if we had them. The nearby pubs are lovely, we had a drink in most of them & ate at the Stork. The food was lovely.

Mi è piaciuto Dog Facilities, immaculate bathrooms (free hairdryers included), coffee machines and having a tap on our pitch. This site have really thought about what people want. We are a couple in our late 40’s, no kids who travel with us, we love our dog. And so it was just perfect for us. The shower facilities - they are the best we’ve seen, they were spotlessly clean, there were nice soaps & hand creams, which is a lovely touch. The best part was the vanity cubicles. They had complimentary toiletries (I forgot my hairspray so thank you I appreciated using that), hairdryers and straighteners (free to use), and a sink. It felt very luxurious and set me up nicely for our day out. It was lovely to be able to arrive & go to our pitch ourselves as soon as we got there. No waiting around. But the owner did come to say hello a few hours after we arrived, a nice personal touch & he gave some tips on where to go in the area. We’ve been to a lot of sites in the last couple of decades but this one ticked almost every box & that’s rare. It was so peaceful, everyone respected the quiet & it was a very relaxing stay.
