Mi è piaciuto We absolutely loved our stay at Karrageen — it really is a little gem of a campsite and the nicest campsite we’ve stayed at. The location is simply stunning, with beautiful views across the Devon countryside towards the sea with spectacular sunsets viewed from the top field. The site feels wonderfully peaceful and spacious, with generous pitches and plenty of room around you, so even when it’s busy it never feels overcrowded. The facilities were excellent with extra family toilets & shower room and also a unisex shower room. Everything was well maintained and cleaned on a regular basis. The whole campsite has a lovely family-run feel, and the owners were incredibly welcoming, friendly and helpful throughout our stay. It’s also perfectly placed for exploring the area. The walk down to Hope Cove is gorgeous, and a great spot for paddle boarding and kayaking, we even spotted a seal off the opposite shore as we kayaked around the cove, There are plenty of beautiful coastal walks and beaches nearby too. We also loved the little touches — the on-site shop and the fresh bread in the morning were a real treat. Karrageen has that rare combination of beautiful surroundings, peace and quiet, excellent facilities and genuinely warm hospitality. We left feeling completely relaxed and already talking about when we can come back. Highly recommended — we wouldn’t hesitate to return!

Mi è piaciuto Nice quiet adult only site with absolutely stunning views and easy access to Buxton for some shops. It has well maintained good sized pitches and they are well laid out so you have plenty of room. The toilet block was clean and had hot water in showers & basins. Also nice potwash area, with hot water here too. Drinking water is available on a separate tap & there is a full recycling area for all rubbish! We had a such a nice time that we stayed an extra night and will definitely stay here again when next in the area. Thanks to Steve for a hospitable welcome & pleasant stay 😊

Mi è piaciuto The site is big with lots of space between pitches and great that you can choose where you would like to pitch your tent, lovely views with Glastonbury Tor in the distance. We really liked the flexible arrive & leave times as this means no rush to pack up, which was handy as we had to time leaving in between rain showers. Dog friendly.

Non mi è piaciuto No hot water in WC hand basins or dishwashing area even though right next to showers, no water at all in WC hand basins on the day we left, no bins/food waste.
