Mi è piaciuto Welcomed upon arrival and detailed instructions/checkin. We stayed on pitch 5 which was in the centre of the plot. We have a Bailey discovery d4-4 and with the motor mover it was easy to position the caravan and have our car alongside. We didn't bother with the awning as only staying for 2 nights. Facilities were spotless.

Mi è piaciuto Facilities were clean and the site was quiet with a communal area which was used each time I passed by.

Non mi è piaciuto The facilities are quite limited, with very little room to manoeuvre when getting in and out of the showers. There are only two female showers, two female toilets, and one additional mixed shower/toilet. The washing-up area is located directly outside the female toilets, which isn’t ideal. We also found it difficult to find a suitable camping pitch. It wasn’t due to a lack of space overall, but because the site is quite hilly. Most of the flat areas had already been taken by other campers, leaving very few suitable pitches available. As it’s a “pitch where you like” campsite, it can be challenging to find an appropriate spot, especially if you arrive later in the day.

We understand that the location and size of the toilet facilities may not suit everyone's preferences. While their position is fixed, we work hard to keep them clean well maintained and easily accessible from all areas of the campsite. Regarding the pitches, we have about 50 perfectly level pitches. As we're a countryside campsite, some areas by nature do have natural very scenic undulations. On the day you were here there were some perfectly level pitches left! We do our best to direct guests to the most suitable pitches, and we're always happy to help if anyone would like to move subject to availability.

Mi è piaciuto Good size, fully serviced pitch and clean facilities. Short walk to Bala Lake.

Non mi è piaciuto The entrance into the site is quite tight. A motorhome behind us actually hit the post and took off their wheel trim. There are only 3 showers and the site overall is quite big. Would benefit in having additional showers, but with the fully serviced pitch we were able to use our own shower.

Mi è piaciuto Owners very welcoming and helpful. My husband and I stayed for one night following a 53mile bike ride. The owners were very accommodating in allowing us to charge our bikes overnight (my husbands bike ran out about a mile before getting to the site). Quiet and peaceful. Pitches are of a good size with each pitch having a campfire.
