We had a lovely welcome from the host not long after we arrived and he called us in the morning to let us know which pitch is ours, great communication. As others have said the pitches are on a slope so you will need leveling blocks. Stunning views over the surrounding countryside. We will certainly stay here again if in the area.

Mi è piaciuto We arrived and reception appeared closed but our pitch was labeled which was great. We have a reactive rescue dog so ironically the less contact we have sometimes the better. Lovely quietish site, there is a local bird scarer going off periodically in a local field but it didn't bother us at all but its something to be aware of. There are no facilities on site as advertised, but the rubbish/chemical dump is clean and labelled. We personally love these smaller sites and there is absolutely nothing wrong here and would have no issues with booking again, we loved our stay and would recommend it to others.

Mi è piaciuto Quiet site, we have a reactive dog so it was ideal. Lovely warm welcome on arrival. It might be a basic site, ie no showers but for us it was perfect. Ideally located for visiting local National Trust properties. We will certainly be back.

Mi è piaciuto Everything, I know some people say it, but everything from the warm welcome to the immaculately clean site and showers to the information board. It will certainly be somewhere we stay again as our dog loved the exercise area as did we as the views were fantastic. We stay at a lot of CL's due to our rescue dog and this was by far and the best of all the ones we've stayed at.

Mi è piaciuto We have a reactive dog so being across from a beach is fantastic, the site is quite, well maintained and has everything we need in our self contained van.

Mi è piaciuto Lovely pitches in the small site, secluded under the canopy of trees next to its own private woodland. We prefer to stay at sites like this, secluded, no facilities and small and this did not disappoint. It was great to be able to take our rescue dog on her long lead for a walk through the woodland. We had a lovely welcome from the owner and were made to feel at home, if we are in the area again then we would definately stay here again.

Mi è piaciuto Loved everything, lovely welcome when we arrived our pitch was sign posted and everything was in easy access of the pitches. There is a small shower block which was lovel and warm plus a couple of toilets. As an added bonus they had a huge field that was available for us to allow our dog off lead which she loved. Stunning views out over the country side. Lovely and quiet at night. Perfect site for us.

Mi è piaciuto Straightforward basic site, just what we tend to book with large central grass area that we could have our dog on a long lead on. Due to the recent raint we decided to park on some hardstanding as opposed to the two remaining grass pitches.

Non mi è piaciuto Didn't realise that being next door to "Avon Valley Adventure and Wildlife Park" meant that there was a fun fair, pumpkin picking and fear event on till gone 11pm and the site bordered the car park to it. Unless you are visiting the park then double check the parks website to see if they have any events on before booking it.

Mi è piaciuto Despite that site being flooded and them having to cancel everyone else we were allowed to stay so we parked on the gravel entrance which was nice and secure and we could easily run our hookup to the nearest post. We tend to book small sites without showers/toilets as we are self contained and this site was ideal for us. The communication was great with them giving us enough warning about the condition of the site, the flooding was no fault of theirs as the pitches are raised so would have been draining it was just the volume of rain we've had over a short period of time.

Mi è piaciuto Its exactly as described and exactly what we expected. Some of the reviews mention the noise from the lorries and yes its next to a main road near the quarries but it didn't disturb us. For us it was a site to use as a central location to visit things in the general area so we only needed somewhere to sleep. The pitches are nice and level and the water pressure was great as we filled out tanks in no time.

Mi è piaciuto Everything, we've stayed here before and the campsite is ideal for us, everything works and its quiet despite being next to a main road. We ate in the pub again and it didn't disappoint, the portion sizes are great and food is very nice, service is spot on as well.

Mi è piaciuto Lovely warm welcome made us feel at home, despite it only being a small site there is plenty of room on the pitches which are pretty much level. Nice and quiet but easy access to the local attractions. Will certainly stay here again if we are visiting the area.

Mi è piaciuto Friendly welcome from the owner who opened the gates and showed me to the site, we (me and the dog) were the only ones staying on the night so he said to park where I wanted. It is a basic site, but there is nothing wrong with the facilities that are provided, the bins were empty and clean as was the chemical dump, although the pitch is steep in places its plenty big enough for the number of spaces they advertise. My 3.5t motorhome didn't have any issues even though it had been raining when we left. There is a slight slope to the gate but nothing major. It doesn't pretend to be anything its not and that is reflected in the price. As I've said in the dislikes, its not a level site, but it didn't bother me and wouldn't put me off staying there again. I've only made the comment to advise people who might stay there expecting a level site, however the views out over the fields are worth the slope. I will certainly stay there again if I am in the area.

Non mi è piaciuto If you are picky about being level then this isn't the site for you, it didn't bother me but if you have to be absolutely level then consider somewhere else. If you are not experienced with a larger motorhome and if the weather is wet you might want to avoid the site, due to the slope. Its clear that its free draining, but in wet weather if you don't know how to handle your motorhome on grass then you might cause yourself problems and bog down.

Mi è piaciuto Loved the text checkin, some might not but it was great the site sent us a text in the morning of our arrival with all the details of where our pitch was etc and asked us to text them when they arrived which we did. There are no real fascilities here other than power and waster dump, which doesn't bother us as we are self contained. In the distance you can see whitby abbey, everything worked as it should and we had the site to ourselves which is always a bonus.

Mi è piaciuto The views are absoutley stunning, not stayed anywhere like it before. The views over the bay were very impressive. As some have said its remote but its a remote part of Scotland which appealed to us, it was ideal for the Nuclear Bunker which we visited.

Mi è piaciuto The most flat and level pitch I think I have ever stayed on! We were met by Gordon who showed us to our pitch and explained where everything was, lovely welcome from him. Its quite a basic site, but everything works as it should and was clean. The site was nice and quiet and worked for us from a location point of view as we were doing a tour of the north east.
