Mi è piaciuto There was Nothing to Not like. The site is really lovely, I love the way it’s split into different areas and all the pitches are spacious and the hedges between them add a sense of privacy which I really loved!! There are lots of toilet and shower blocks and washing up & rubbish bin sites. This was really good. The toilet and shower blocks were always clean, never ran out of soap nor toilet rolls, and the rubbish bins were never overflowing and were emptied everyday. The location of the site is fabulous. Gorgeous walks right from the site along the river and through woodland. There are also lots of parks & forest etc nearby for different walks and things to do. There is a dog shower on site which was brilliant as our cockapoo loved her daily paddles and swims in the stream and river 😂 and thankfully the dog shower allowed us to get her clean before going back into the tent. A really thoughtful addition to the site. There is also a lovely little well stocked shop on site in the reception and the staff were all lovely. There is also a laundry room with washing machine and tumble dryer and an ironing board. This again is a really thoughtful addition as it helps immensely when camping in the changeable British weather!! Honestly loved this site, it was our first stay here but most definitely will not be our last. Oh also by the Sherwood Forest Visitor Centre (at the traffic lights just up the road) there’s a pub called The Royal Oak (I think). Between 3-5pm Mon-Friday they have half price pizzas. They are homemade and huge and really really yummy!! After going round the Forest we popped here with our dog & 4 adults (me & 3 adult kids) and had 2 pizzas & 2 chips (also huge portions) and there was loads!! Lovely end to the day, recommend going after the forest.

Non mi è piaciuto The only tiny comment I would make is that the showers (which were lovely and hot and very clean) could do with staying on longer than the do. You have to keep pushing them on every 30 seconds which is hard when washing your hair. Minor gripe though and not worth deducting a star.
