Mi è piaciuto Really nice site with well-spaced out pitches, we stayed on a larger touring pitch and we felt adequately spaced from other pitches, modern and clean facilities, well worth the money.

Non mi è piaciuto The only dislike with our pitch was the proximity to the road, and unfortunately, people are inclined to accelerate, which was noisy at times, albeit a relatively quiet road.

Mi è piaciuto Ideal back-to-basics hikers' campsite, exactly as described. Cheryl, the owner, got in touch after booking with clear instructions for the location and how to access the site, and shortly after arrival, came and said hello, told us about the area, and advised us on footpaths and the options for getting to the two local pubs.

Mi è piaciuto The peacefulness and tranquillity was restored this weekend which is why we consider Hazelbrow to be our favourite campsite, it had a very chilled vibe with serious campers who also enjoy the location and peaceful tranquillity of this lovely campsite

Mi è piaciuto We have stayed here quite a number of times and always had a great time and peaceful weekend

Non mi è piaciuto It was not directly the owner's fault, but a group of lads staying at a house above the campsite were playing loud music and were very rowdy from 5pm until 4am along with another group of lads who were also sat talking till 4am on Sunday morning, we personally weren't disturbed by this when we went to sleep as we had earplugs, but people should be respectful of other people and understand why people go to such usually peaceful place.

As you will know we've worked very hard to develop and maintain our reputation for a peaceful and quiet location. I was aware of the issue at the house. The people had been asked to turn the mucic down and as far as I was aware they had complied with the request. I wasn't aware the noise had continued later in the evening. I am sorry, I would have intervened further had I been aware. Our campsite rules state that our 'quiet time' extends from 8:00pm - 8:00am and we don't allow group bookings or music to be played onsite. This hopefully ensures the site remains a peaceful haven for our guests, our neigbours and our wildlife! Had I been aware of the noise on the campsite I would have intervened and enforced the rules. I am so sorry! I would ask and encourage anyone staying and aware of a problem to make a quick call or send a text message, regardless of the time of day/night so that issues or misunderstandings can be rectified immediately. We do try to take direct responsibility for the actions of our guests who are usually a very considerate bunch! Thank you so much for alerting us to this issue which we take very seriously and will endeavour to resolve. I hope this weekend hasn't put you off visitiing us in the future.

Mi è piaciuto The accommodating owner kindly rescheduled our stay due to my wife being unwell, so we stayed 19th July for a 2-night stay, the campsite was exactly as we expected with good sized pitches and toilets and showers were kept clean, the owners came around on an evening and during the day to keep the site clean. Situated in a nice quiet and remote location with multiple walks in every direction, it's ideal!!

Non mi è piaciuto The Brady bunch x10 turned as a big group with screaming kids and parents who near enough let the kids do what they wanted we had to move within 5-minutes as they had no consideration for other people and two separate campers on Friday evening had a fire going till 12.30 am and woke us up with their talking. The above wasn't directly the owner's fault, but maybe a later evening spot check to ensure that the quiet times and rules are being followed and all fires are extinguished at 10pm

Mi è piaciuto We were booked in for late May but due to torrential rain Sophie rearranged for another weekend the 7th of June till the 10th. We really enjoyed our stay at ullswater view, Sophie is so helpful and she makes sure everyone is happy, so if you have any issues don't leave bad reviews before you have even given her a chance to sort them out, some people expect her to be running about after them and they forget she is running a farm as well as looking after her young family, I think some people are only happy when they're complaining, we loved everything about it, including Sophie and her children, they're a lovely family. The campsite has stunning views and great walks, some people should try them, they might have less time to complain, the portaloos are ample and clean and there are bins and fresh water, what else do you need? and of course we have to mention Rocket the parrot, it was so entertaining watching him fly around the campsite, please people DO NOT FEED HIM it could make him really sick or worse, we had no issues with large groups playing loud music but you could get that anywhere, and like I say, if you contact Sophie she sorts any problems out including unruly campers, we are definitely coming back, thanks Sophie and the fam for looking after us and letting us stay on your lovely farm. love Melanie & Michael.
