Mi è piaciuto Lovely warm welcome (with eggs!) from Becky which made us feel very at home. She also went out of her way to check that everything was ok during our stay. A beautiful spot with generous sized and well kept pitches, so even though the site was fairly busy we didn’t feel cramped at all. The shower and toilet shepherd’s huts were brilliant.

Mi è piaciuto Lovely, peaceful site in a brilliant location for both the beaches and National Park of Northumberland. Chrissy, the warden, made us feel very welcome and was exceptionally helpful, warm and kind. The pitches are generously sized and well maintained. There are some very pleasant dog walks directly from the site, too. Facilities are a little basic, but are adequate for the size of the site and kept clean.

Mi è piaciuto Lovely location, with a very pleasant dog friendly walk, directly from the site, down to Acomb. (Excellent beer and a great pub lunch at The Miners Arms!) The woodland setting is very pretty, and the surrounding Northumbrian countryside is absolutely stunning. As several other reviews have mentioned, the loos and showers are excellent, some of the best we’ve experienced at a campsite. Although there are quite a lot of permanent caravans sited here, it wasn’t busy and we had a very peaceful and pleasant stay.

Mi è piaciuto Lovely location with spectacular views of the Black Mountains and Brecon Beacons. James is a very welcoming and helpful host, and gave us a personal tour of the facilities. Loos and showers were spotless. We followed the walking route James showed us across the fields and along the river to Hay on Wye, and loved every step, especially the friendly sheep in the field next door. The riverside is stunning, and there’s a cafe and a pub as soon as you arrive in town. Hay is a very pretty place with lots of eating places, food, art and craft shops, as well as books. Well worth a visit, even out of festival season.

Mi è piaciuto We loved this very pretty and well managed site. There are gorgeous views as you’re nestled in the heart of the Cambrian Mountains, in very peaceful surroundings. There are plenty of super-clean loos and toilets. We really enjoyed watching the sheep being gathered up by the farmer and his dog who came through the camping field while we were there. We had a great breakfast at the cafe and enjoyed a visit to the spectacular Devils Bridge Falls, a short walk from the site. Friendly and welcoming reception staff. We’d stay again if we pass this way and might then take the steam train into Aberystwyth - sadly didn’t have enough time on this occasion.

Non mi è piaciuto Not a dislike, just a suggestion, but it would be helpful if the dog walking routes and footpaths were more clearly signed on the site, as the map was hard (for me!) to follow.

Mi è piaciuto This is a little gem. Tucked away in a pretty village just outside Worcester, there’s a pretty with a pleasant garden and kids’ playground, a great cafe and a shop selling all sorts of delicious local foods. We had an evening meal in the pub and breakfast at the cafe and both were excellent. Very friendly service too. Level plots (though access is quite steep) with views across neighbouring fields, clean loos and washing up area. One of the nicest spots we’ve stayed at.

Mi è piaciuto The beautiful, tranquil surroundings and the relaxed and welcoming atmosphere. A good mix of tents, vans and caravans with families, solo campers and couples. The managers, Simon and Karen, are really helpful and super friendly. This has been our favourite stay of all the sites we’ve visited so far. Dog friendly too, with a lovely field for walking and a great pub close by, and just a short drive into Faversham. The Kent coast and Canterbury are not too far away either.
