Mi è piaciuto Clean site, bothy with a little pool table and warmth if needed was a nice touch, toilet and shower facilities were extremely clean. Free WiFi all over the site. The A road was a 5 minute drive away so was able to go on trips out very easily.

Non mi è piaciuto Very intense about the tent pitches spacing. We were told several times (and checked on while setting up) get the impression they've been warned about fire safety in the past and are being very proactive about it. Understand there reasons for doing it but came across a bit over the top. The site wasn't our sort of thing, prefer something a little smaller and intimate and peaceful but that's down to our personal preferences, the site wasn't noisy by any means and many people would love this site. We missed having a campfire too, but again understand they have strict fire safety rules to follow.

Mi è piaciuto The peaceful nature of the campsite, loved the fact it was walking distance from painswick town which is beautiful. With some lovely places to grab a drink. We particularly enjoyed the curious cows coming over for a nose in the adjoining field, the family of buzzards in the nearby tree and all the fish in the pond. Thank you!

Non mi è piaciuto The traditional sign for when the toilet was in use or not. Made for a few awkward moments when people had forgotten to turn it. Although I get it's a nicer look than a modern lock that changes from green to red.

Dal gestore: Thank you for your comments, we glad you had a lovely stay with nature all round you. Sorry to hear you had some embarrassing moments with the bathroom, there is a lock inside the door. For future guests I will have a sign saying where the lock is located. We have no WiFi on site we are in a rural location.

Mi è piaciuto Campsite is beautiful and peaceful with wild rabbits everywhere and horses in a nearby field. There's lots of walks nearby including one right by the campsite through woodland round a lake. There's also a hut with loads of seating and benches should you fancy a solid roof over your head for a drink or a sit down.

Non mi è piaciuto Campfire hire seemed quite pricey I've had it cheaper elsewhere and understand why. But realise that insurance for campfires is expensive and feel that £15-£20 might be pretty standard really can't fault anything else. Plus it's cheap to stay per night so pretty much evens out.

Mi è piaciuto Scenic, secluded pitch was really nice. Lakes were beautiful too. Very quiet for a bank holiday too :)

Non mi è piaciuto Hot water at washing up point only ran for 20 seconds.
