Mi è piaciuto Friendly, calm atmosphere, setting us up for a little encampment for the weekend with friends. Great vibe with a lot of other groups and families.

Mi è piaciuto Super friendly welcome by the owner. Well looked after bathrooms (they seem brand new for the season), food onsite, cooked to order. Amazing vibe with campers, caravans, runners doing the ultimate challenge and quite a few folks doing DofE in the various fields, fire pits allowed. Walkable to Lathkill Dale for excellent walks

Mi è piaciuto Excellent location for a stopover to Scotland, right next to the main road. Idillic pitches next to the river at the bottom, beautiful to hear the water. Amazing clear sky views of the Milky Way. Great location for walks at the nearby Keilder Water and Forest. We went on a walk from the site. Pitches mowed regularly

Non mi è piaciuto The bathrooms are functional and have seen some updates, but parts are still a little tired. However, they are very clear and well maintained. Some of the OS Maps app walks go through spots that have become very overgrown as the paths change within the forestry boundaries, so ensure you have a GPS and accurate map if you are heading in there.

Mi è piaciuto Amazing site, with incredible facilities. Perfect pitch for our VW camper van with enough space for an event shelter too. Toilet block was very well equipped and the kitchen and lounge were a huge bonus (although we only did the washing up, we could see it being a real draw to those with a young family). Ideally placed for trips to Buxton, Bakewell and a host of walks and cycle paths (there was a bike store on site)

Non mi è piaciuto Didn't bother us at all, but some might find the proximity to the road distracting on a noise front.
