Mi è piaciuto We were looking for a place to find peace and quiet for two nights and near to the river walks around Amarante. This was the perfect place. There was a heat wave and Georges met us on arrival and directed us to a beautiful shaded spot. During our stay there was only one other couple. It was so peaceful ( and hot) we decided to simply stay in and around the site. There is a little cafe on the main road leading to the site and that is the only visit out we made. We relaxed in silence, reading and enjoying the Views and calm. The toilets and showers are great and there is a small kitchen with a fridge and cosy little area for eating. During the day we were alone. On the morning we left we did visit Amarante which is charming.

Mi è piaciuto It was a quiet time of year but the site is very spacious with large pitches and very quiet. Facilities are excellent with great showers. There is a restaurant and bar but we didn’t use it this time. Great location for hiking and exploring the beautiful villages nearby and we stopped there after an afternoon in Segovia. We had a stunning day’s walk around Riaza.

Mi è piaciuto We were wanting a remote stop over in lovely hills and olive groves between Antequera and Cordoba. What a beautiful place and perfect for what we wanted. Catherine, Jamie and family made us feel so welcome and we can confirm that their olive oil is the best! Next time we will book in for dinner.

Non mi è piaciuto If you don't have a toilet on board, it's a trek to the loo and there is no shower other than the pool one. We knew this and so were prepared!

Mi è piaciuto Wow! What a beautifully situated site place situated in a remote spot in the hills above Gandia and surrounded by orange groves. We arrived in spring when the smell of the blossoms was everywhere. We immediately wanted to stay more than the one day we had scheduled so we will have to come back. Pitches are very big and under fox glove trees. The facilities are private and clean with great showers . We had a great evening walk in the local hills and enjoyed a lovely meal in the excellent restaurant. Before we set off we had a long peaceful walk in the orange groves. The site is popular for hiking and climbing. Great if you have kids.

Mi è piaciuto Great stop off point if you are heading to Valencia or going up North. The facilities were very good with hot showers. It is 4 k outside of centre but we drove in and parked in the university area easily and from there it was 25 minutes to walk to the old town.

Mi è piaciuto What a beautifully situated site. In the heart of La Rioja surrounded by lush pastures and wooden hills and snowy mountains. We received a warm welcome in contrast to the chilly weather and were glad of a great home cooked meal in the cosy restaurant as the heavens opened. Easy stroll up to the monasteries of Yuso and Suso and great place to visit local vineyards. We will be back one day to spend more time walking in those hills. The facilities were excellent with plenty of hot water and good pitches.

Mi è piaciuto We were en route to Calais from Spain and this stop over was ideal to break the journey. We intended to go into Tours itself but after the drive we decided to hole up and rest instead. Pitches are large but not particularly private. Nice walks from the campsite along the lake and River Cher. Restaurants are nearby but not were open when we we were there. Charming little village nearby. The toilets and showers were clean with hot water.

Mi è piaciuto The seclusion! Given the time of year there was only one other van on the pitches. The pitches are in woodland close to the Charente. Most of the facilities ( shop, bar, pool etc) were not open or were in the process of being renovated. This was the case for the showers and toilets but they were clean and spacious and I wish the owners well in their development plans.

Mi è piaciuto Great pitch up en route back from Spain to Calais. Friendly welcome and the pitches are a good size. Peaceful country setting and a few minutes walk from Urt village and a great river walk. Facilities were clean and shower cubicles were spacious.

Mi è piaciuto Friendly welcome and the campsite is ideally situated for a good river walk into Burgos. Surrounding area is great for a stroll. Showers were great.

Mi è piaciuto The facilities were excellent with clean toilets and hot showers. Excellent on site restaurant and friendly staff on arrival and departure. Pitches are private and large. We really enjoyed the stroll along the river into the town

Mi è piaciuto The location is fantastic with easy access to many quiet but spectacular walks. Easy access to villages of Austwick and Clapham for excellent pubs with food. The site itself has excellent facilities and is very peaceful

Non mi è piaciuto The pitches were a little tight in terms of space. We prefer pitches with a some tree/hedge cover

Mi è piaciuto Great location at the confluence of the Vienne and Loire. Facilities basic but clean and our pitch was big. Great walks and the village of Candes St Martin is very pretty.

Mi è piaciuto Situated close to Les Andelys, a beautiful village and next to the Seine this is a great site. Richard the Lion Heart’s castle overlooks the site and the pitches are large and private. Faculties are clean.

Mi è piaciuto Lovely location right by the river and close to the charming village of Montbazon. Pitches were large and secluded and the facilities were very good. You can order bread, croissants etc to be delivered the next day. Great base for exploring region around Tours.

Mi è piaciuto What a beautiful camp site. If you like a peaceful and remote location then this will be ideal. Set in an apple orchard and the grounds of an old Manor House and miles from anywhere else! We were the only people staying on the site itself so cannot comment on what it might be like if all/ any pitches were filled! Facilities were clean and the owners gave us a friendly welcome. I recommend the home produced cider.

Mi è piaciuto The site is located on the Loire with a great view of Nevers. Ideal for exploring the town and nice walks along the river. Friendly receptionist.
