Mi è piaciuto Great host (Hello Tony), great site and a great location. Laid back with large pitches next to the river and over the river a village with a bakery a bar and a shop - what else do you need? The bar has a cat, the shop has the best saussicon known to man and the bakery has chocolate croissants. And if they're all shut then Tony will knock you up a meal - what that man can do with an egg will bring a tear to your eye. Well stocked bar and fridge as well. Stayed here 3 years ago and vowed to come back and glad we did.

Non mi è piaciuto We had a mini cyclone when we were there but I don't know if you can blame anyone for that. A large branch fell of a tree and missed the van by less than an inch, so every cloud etc.

Mi è piaciuto Great location, lovely host, large pitch. A bit ragged but it added to the charm. Nearby village lovely and an easy walk. New aldi just about walkable as well. Handy for Dunkirk, Cassel and not far at all from Calais.

Non mi è piaciuto Only two showers but they were never busy as most pitches look to be long term (and plumbed?). Had to pay tokens for shower bit site still great value.

Mi è piaciuto Everything! Peaceful, beautiful, really well maintained and a great host. Lovely part of the country and three pubs within walking distance - what's not to like!

Non mi è piaciuto Only wish we could have stayed longer. Slightly tricky entrance might cause problems for larger vans but ours is a tiddler.

Mi è piaciuto Parked up against the wall as it was windy so lots of shelter. Also close to the toilet block which was spotless and free showers as well - lovely. Good location just a stroll away from the pub and the bridge and if you cross the bridge you have access to a good selection of shops and pubs - and Waitrose - woohoo. Oh and great views across the Menai straits.

Non mi è piaciuto Parked under very bright lights which shone all night. If I wanted somewhere darker I could have parked in the field so can't complain but i do woder why they needed to be on all night - to stop people nicking the llamas?

Mi è piaciuto Nice open site a bit off the road so quiet. Lovely owners and some of the cleanest facilities I have ever seen. Great location for visiting Nefyn/Morfa Nefyn and beyond.

Non mi è piaciuto Showers are now £1 and not 50p as advertised - so clean to be almost worth it though. I think you have to pay for electric as well but luckily we have solar and the sun was shining. Pub nearby but narrow road for walking.

Mi è piaciuto Nice quiet location in a lovely part of the country. Facilities clean and showers free which is always a bonus. There's also a shop though we didn't use it.

Non mi è piaciuto Dog walking area quite small. Little bit pricey at £30 for a pitch with no hook-up.

Mi è piaciuto Great location and super clean facilities. Handy for the village of Trefor which has a shop a pub and a post office as well as a lovely large harbour. Easy to join the Wales coastal path and looked to be well served by buses as well. The owner obviously runs a tight ship - nothing wrong with that if it's peace and quiet and super clean facilities that you want.

Non mi è piaciuto We parked at the top end and there was bit of traffic noise but nothing too bad.

Mi è piaciuto Warm welcome from lady in the shop who gave clear instructions and suggested walks for me and the dog. Well laid out site that was pretty full but felt quiet. Large pitch for my small campervan. Easy to find location with good signage from the main road and in a lovely location. Showers were hot and free. Wifi great in the middle of the site.

Non mi è piaciuto Weather not great. I didn't make use of them but charging £1 for 15 mins of socket time feels a bit tight especially as most people presumably use this to charge their phones and these don't use much power.

Mi è piaciuto The lady from the site, Wendy, was very diligent in keeping in touch to say that a) we had been moved to a hard site as the grass was so wet and then b) called again when were running late - very much appreciated. The drive from Barrow to the site is lovely as the sun was actually shining at the time. Oh and the toilet/ shower rooms are immaculate.

Non mi è piaciuto It has rained for about 2 months so the site was a muddy mess. Unfortunately the large group in the pitch opposite stunk the place out with weed (and this was outdoors) and this was before they got laid into the beers and the volume just kept rising. Not really the fault of the site. Equally not their fault was the lack of food options. We got there just after 6 by which time the local supermarket and chippy were shut and the 'ski bar' next door had stopped serving food. We eventually found another pub - the Rising Sun - and when we asked what the food options were we were told 'crisps or nuts'. Oh we laughed. Had a pint and bag of nuts then went back to the van to listen to the drunks next door. At the least they didn't have a barbeque going as the smell might have driven us to homicide. And then it started raining......

Mi è piaciuto Large pitch, clean facilities, helpful host. Nice wooded walk into town which has a small selection of the usual shops as well as an Aldi. Small selection of food (and cider) in the camp office.

Mi è piaciuto Fabulous location next to the river and a small village on the other side of the bridge. Village had a bar (try the Grimbergen), a food shop (try the saucision) and the bakers. There was also a restaurant but it was shut when we were there. On the site the pitches are large and generally shaded. Some might say it is a little bit tired but I would charming and the host, Mr T, is a lovely lovely man. Watch out if he offers you a free cocktail - boom! You can buy breakfast and he can knock up an omelette but we had our own food. We did however sample his beer and an excellent bottle of chinon. We were there on the way to to the rugby and he set up chairs and we all watched France win their first game. Great memories. Ended up staying an extra night.

Non mi è piaciuto Nothing. A few cobwebs here and there but they added to the charm.

Mi è piaciuto Nice big space, well maintained site, cute pop up swimming pool. Handy for the N11. I would imagine it's great for kids though there were none there when we stayed. Unisex toilets a great experience.

Non mi è piaciuto Nearest village just a little bit too far to walk and surrounding area a little bit dull though we did manage to find a nice walk around the large house opposite the site. Was hoping the have a pizza but they are weekends only apparently.

Non mi è piaciuto Charged 5 euro for the wifi code which subsequently appeared only to work on one device. Paying for wifi in this day and age is a con. They have an option whereby if you buy a drink in the bar you get the code for free but guess what - the bar was shut despite their site advertising that it would be open until the end of Sept. Snack bar also shut. What was open was their restaurant which was pricey and avoided. The shop was also open and prices were extortionate - 0ver 10 euro for bottle of french wine (La Vielle Ferme) which is £7 in Tesco here in the UK. I didn't see any in the local Carrefour but the equivalent wine there is just over 2 Euro. Captive customers abused as ever.

Mi è piaciuto Location is great and the walk into town is lovely (though a little scary after dark). The toilets were immaculate and the showers were free - what's not to like! The welcome pack was useful. t's a huge site so there was plenty of space and privacy.

Non mi è piaciuto I came late and alone the night we were there and survived the dark and spooky footpath from town only to get white paint on my hand as I keyed in the entry code on the recently painted door. Assume it has dried by now!
