Mi è piaciuto Lovely small campsite in the centre of Surgéres, which itself is a very interesting town. Great base for exploring the area including La Rochelle. Walking distance to supermarket, boulangerie and other shops. Good restaurants too. Campsite staff friendly and helpful. Free WiFi. Although our visit was end of season good amenities at the campsite. Chalets as well as pitches available to book. Everything well looked after and clean.

Non mi è piaciuto Only negative was our noisy « neighbours » in the car park over the river who were in town for the fête at the end of the month.

Mi è piaciuto Friendly welcome and showed to our pitch. All facilities pointed out to us and all questions answered with good cheer. Although there was some maintenance work going on (it is still early in the season), access to the toilet/shower was always available and there was no shortage of hot water. Pub food was a good standard and good value (note closed on Mondays). Good location for walking/cycling.
