Mi è piaciuto Lovely campsite: gorgeous cafe with really nice food and cakes , great choice of pitches, wonderful farm animals, good selection of products in farm shop, dog friendly site, amazing walks nearby, hot showers, freezers , watching machines .

Non mi è piaciuto No loo roll in any of the men’s toilets one morning , but this was sorted by the afternoon. Also, not the campsite’s fault but some inconsiderate camper van guests nearby who played music for about 12 hours non stop until late at night . Perhaps a no-music section for campers who don’t wanna hear the irritating base beat of other peoples music would be a good call. But honestly that was the only issue and it’s a really awesome site.

Mi è piaciuto Very clean , friendly welcome, good-sized pitches , nice landscaping and well-kept grounds. Supermarket about 25 mins walk away. Convenient stopover for Calais.

Mi è piaciuto Good location for beach and walks. Quiet , considerate campers . Lovely swimming pool. Friendly bar staff. The cleaning staff worked incredibly hard to keep the busy toilets and showers clean. They deserve a medal! The supermarket was well stocked and the on-site restaurant was ok - advertised vegan food but this was limited . A vegetarian burger or a main course without meat or fish would make this bar menu much better.

Non mi è piaciuto It’s a town so Saturday night was restless due to loud music from outside , but the campsite itself was quiet and considerate. The site is next to a road which is mostly quiet but does have occasional bad drivers with loud engines race past which would wake most campers.

Mi è piaciuto Epic views, amazing mountain bike routes , spacious pitches , very clean toilets and showers, tap water tasted good. Welcoming and Friendly staff. Very close to the motorway. Near to some wonderful towns such as Pèzanas. Needed a few more products in the reception - a few tinned vegetables or some ice just to keep us going but really no complaints. Was super!

Non mi è piaciuto We were only stopping over for one night after a long drive but the pitch (number 16) we stayed on smelled strongly of urine (possibly from guests’ dogs on site and after lack of rain throughout the summer) but it made the stay very unpleasant. By morning , we just wanted to pack up and get out of there. There was only one sink in the men’s loos which meant queues for brushing teeth which we simply didn’t experience anywhere else and there was hand sanitiser used in dispensers rather than soap which just wasn’t pleasant. The good reviews made us choose this site but it fell well under par with other sites that we’d visited on our road trip which had much lowers review scores. Overall the site appeared shabby and neglected despite great reviews on pitchup. Just felt a bit dirty. Sorry guys but it needs a bit of work!

Mi è piaciuto Beautiful scenery with epic views of mountains and traditional Swiss log cabins. Friendly welcome from host . Local maps available for free from reception. Free bus pass for every guest for duration of stay enabling trips up the mountain and local area. Free ski-lift passes in Evolène included with the campsite booking but it doesn’t run on Mondays. Great on-site bar and restaurant. Local cheese shop. Cosy bars within walking distance (not open on Mondays) Amazing walks . Impeccably clean toilets and showers with lovely almond-smelling soap. Local supermarket within walking distance (10 mins) . Cleanest smelling campsite facilities on our road trip round France , Belgium , Luxembourg and Switzerland by far!!

Non mi è piaciuto Didn’t bother us that much, but a few midgies by the river so you may need to pack citronella or retreat inside the tent at sunset . Some August building works at the moment repairing the river bank which resulted in a 7am wake up of machinery but probably isn’t going to persist . We were disappointed to choose our two-night stay on Sunday and Monday as everywhere closes on Mondays but this is the most amazing setting if you’re there Weds - Saturday!!!

Mi è piaciuto A lovely, warm welcome from two fantastic hosts. Cold craft beers available on arrival , spacious pitches with great views. Some amazing forest walks leading to Roman roads through gorges and rocky outcrops nearby. Clean showers and toilets. A highlight for us was discovering the beautiful cafe Denat a short walk from the campsite selling local craft beers and with heaps of atmosphere and a decent menu. Loved being woken up by hedgehogs rummaging around our tent!

Mi è piaciuto Good internet connection and electric hookup. Good washing up area. Friendly welcome from the man on reception. The town has three good supermarkets . Friendly bar staff in one of the local bars. Potentially some great walks around the area if the weather is ok as long as you’re fit and healthy as steep inclines . Good town for history lovers particularly if you’re into WW2 and street battles.

Non mi è piaciuto Toilets had no soap in. The urinals smelt like they needed a good clean. Unfortunately no cycle hire nearby (I thought pitchup listed this as a facility hence why we chose the site ) so a bit stranded if you’re in a roof tent. Very quiet in the town and atmosphere seemed a bit dead for August.

Mi è piaciuto Lovely campsite - a good base for walking three local trails or for a day trip to Luxembourg on a free half-hour-long train ride. The station is only about 30 minutes walk away but a steep hill on the way back. The campsite was really clean with lots of toilets and showers and a lovely bar restaurant area. The staff spoke English and were always on hand. We really liked this site for our roof tent as was a good flat , spacious pitch with electric . It was quiet at night time too. It’s worth hiring the electric bikes for €2 once in the city of Luxembourg as you can explore the old city easily which has wonderful parks .

Mi è piaciuto We stayed here as a stopover in our Tentbox XL for a longer journey down to Switzerland via Luxembourg and initially had quite low expectations due to its 7.7 review score but just needed a quick rest break . However, we were totally delighted in the end! We were greeted with a friendly welcome - in English- given a map and had details explained. The showers were hot and toilets clean . There’s a pool and bar and the pitches are flat and the pitches have hedges giving a secluded feel. We were really pleasantly surprised by the number of bars and restaurants around the site - a French bistro , and a craft beer : stone baked pizza bar and more ! Even though it was Sunday it was still vibrant in mid august . There’s a fairground for kids and lovely walks . We’d definitely come back as it’s a good site for a one hour from Calais late train stopover en route to further afield .

Mi è piaciuto Wonderful views; very helpful, family-run campsite . The guys were very welcoming and straight away offered to ferry our kit over to the pitch from the car on their trailer. Good spacious pitches with unlimited logs for £5 and great camp fire pits. Very clean compost toilet. For kids , there’s ponies and chickens to see. Also, a good site for dog owners as there’s plenty of space for the pups. I liked how we could set up our tarp for the kitchen next to the tent for no extra price . A really lovely campsite.
