Mi è piaciuto Our two-year-old granddaughter had a fantastic first camping trip here with us, with the bouncy castle being available all day, along with pygmy goats, and assorted birds to watch in the aviaries to keep her occupied! We could see that older children made good use of the 'older toys' in the play and lawn game areas too (chess, draughts, hoopla, and noughts-and-crosses). The availability of the cafe and shop on site, with long opening hours, were things we greatly appreciated, as well. The ability to get a toddler an ice-lolly so easily on a scorching day was a lifesaver! We can easily see ourselves bring her back here, and we have already recommended the site to our friends with their children. The site felt to be well laid-out, with the shop, cafe, toilets, showers and play area being set along one side, allowing combination of various things into a single trip. Despite being moderately busy (all the electric pitches filled, and a decent number of non-electric pitches in use) it didn't feel packed-out. Our only question is on the number of showers, with only four cubicles available for the whole site, we could see that a queue formed each morning. While we were able to miss the queues by going for a mid-morning shower, after having breakfast and going for a dog walk, we can imagine that if the site was nearer to capacity this might not work, and so we wonder if some additional showers might be needed in this eventuality?

Mi è piaciuto Lovely clean and peaceful sight. Great facilities with a field for the dog to run around not too far away. The staff were pleasant and helpful. Great little shop onsite selling snacks.
