Mi è piaciuto Facilities were spotless. Friendly owner greeted us on arrival. Very quiet site. Beautiful views. Enjoyed the quarry walk with the dog. I LOVED the 24/7 radio in the toilet block, I can sometimes get anxious going to the toilet block overnight but it was lovely to have the company of the radio.

Non mi è piaciuto Not really a dislike but just a FYI for future guests, the road into site is very steep.

Mi è piaciuto Close to coast, only a short walk to the beach and coast path which was handy to give the dog a good walk. Owner was very friendly and gave us a warm welcome. Nice and remote, away from main road, easy walk into the village. Great butchers in village and locals very friendly and welcoming. We were lucky enough to see dolphins in the bay on our first day which was amazing.

Non mi è piaciuto The shower block needs updating and was quite messy for the majority of the day. There seemed to be a lot of families on site with seasonal pitches who all knew each other and sat out chatting loudly till gone 11pm whilst their kids played loudly on bikes and scooters, not quite the peaceful site advertised! The pitch next to us was occupied by a gentleman who has the solar equivalent to Blackpool illuminations, it kinda looked a bit cluttered and messy. He insisted on smoking next to our van window and walking across our pitch to the bins. Seasonal campers with dogs off lead. We were only there for 2 nights which was probably enough for us.

Dal gestore: Thank you for your review. With all due respect it seems as though you would be more suited to a stay when the schools are back! It is the summer holiday season and unfortunately no matter how many times we tidy up the discarded toilet tissue in the toilet block, it appears again 10 minutes later! This problem seems more like a disrespect from people using the facilities rather than an issue for staff to address. It just takes a little consideration from campers to keep the cubicles tidy for the next person. As for people socialising and kids playing, unless we place a curfew on people enjoying themselves after a certain time in the evening this is beyond our control. We would like to think that most campers are considerate of others unfortunately this isn't always the case.

Mi è piaciuto OUTSTANDING! facilities were possibly the best I’ve ever seen, staff were so welcoming. Loved the location and the extras like the dog wash and vending machines.

Non mi è piaciuto Not really a dislike but a suggestion…a hairdryer in the ladies would have been fab.

Mi è piaciuto Lovely spacious pitches, friendly owners who couldn’t do enough for you. Facilities were always clean and showers were spot on.

Non mi è piaciuto The road can be noisy especially with endless boy racers at night but we knew from previous reviews this might be the case so brought ear plugs! Probably too many dogs for us, can’t do with the constant barking and dogs running over all the time but that’s more to do with inconsiderate guests rather than the site itself.

Mi è piaciuto Such a gem of a campsite. The right balance between wild camping and good facilities. My children aged 10 and 12 really enjoyed the freedom to play and making friends with others on site. It was just a short distance from Llys y Fran and we enjoyed a sunset walk around the lake. Rachel was an excellent host and greeted us with some beautiful Welsh Cakes. Toilet and shower facilities were excellent and spotless. We had beautiful clear skies at night and the stars were amazing.
