Mi è piaciuto Total peace and quiet, beautiful woodland setting. Surprisingly few midges which was a bonus! Great communication from host prior to trip, thank you Elspeth. Basically, wild camping but with the bonus of a compost toilet, shower and kitchen area if needed. Within walking distance of pretty little loch (Barend) and huge open beach at Sandyhills. If you want WiFi, power showers and entertainment then this isn’t the site for you. However, if you want to spend a few days in a magical little spot, immersed in nature with nothing but birdsong around you, then definitely book your pitch! As advertised, the campervan pitch is slightly sloping but absolutely fine with chocks to level it out.

Non mi è piaciuto Disliked nothing, though couple of things to be aware of: Part of the track in is quite steep and gravelly so whilst driving slowly, you will need momentum to get up the slope! (Elspeth kindly pre-warned us about this) Also, the Daisy hut is fairly close to the campervan pitch, but if you park sideways with the sliding door on the far side you see nothing but bracken and trees- which is perfect! Understandably, no fires on site.

Mi è piaciuto Friendly, welcoming owner; tidy, clean, level fields. Site larger than we thought, we had a lovely corner pitch. Quiet, allowed dogs and fire pit- both of which were a must for us! Clean toilets and showers (50p coin for the shower) Lovely cafe/ bar on site which had we been staying longer we would have liked to sample. Lots of lovely walking, including easy access to the coastal path with gorgeous views out to Bardsey Island.

Mi è piaciuto Quiet, dog-friendly site which allows fire pits; Lovely level field with high hedges; beautifully kept. Two clean toilet rooms and lovely showers- temporary block but this is absolutely not an issue. Friendly owner, not intrusive but happy to chat! Great location for exploring- only a short drive to Aberffraw, Rhosneiger, Holyhead and Newborough.

Mi è piaciuto Great stop off point on a long journey. Lovely big open fields, choose your own spot. Quiet, dog friendly and allows fires. Good facilities, clean toilets, showers and washing up area. Welcoming, helpful hosts who then leave you in peace. Some lovely coastal villages and beaches within close driving range.

Mi è piaciuto Huge wild unmown field with lovely views- we had the whole place to ourselves for 2 nights! Two clean, flushable toilets - not portaloos! Short drive to lovely beaches. Total peace and quiet. Dog friendly and allows fires (took our own fire pit) Walking from the site.

Mi è piaciuto Beautiful spot, great location and gorgeous views. Short drive to Brecon Beacons Visitor Centre and also Brecon itself. Dog friendly, fires permitted (pits provided) Quiet, friendly, well thought out site with a choice of 6 large wild fields with mown edges, pick your own spot. Large barn with seating, cooking, washing area which provides somewhere to escape to in the rain! Little honesty shop for essentials. Clean, spacious toilets and showers.

Mi è piaciuto Gorgeous spot on the hillside, dog friendly and allows camp fires. Fire pits provided, wood can be bought from the owners:£5 a bag, with some kindling &firelighters included. No drinking water on site but bottled water provided. Clean, quiet site with friendly owners who make it clear they are available if you need anything, but then leave you in peace! Composting toilet and shower in a shed- both basic, but clean and do the job.

Non mi è piaciuto Not a dislike, but be aware the approach is quite narrow and steep.

Mi è piaciuto A fantastic, quiet little site in an elevated position with far-reaching views. Easily accessed from both Keswick and the M6 yet it felt miles away from the hustle and bustle- it is so peaceful and the perfect place to get away from it all. As well as being a lovely holiday destination in itself, it could be used as a convenient overnight stop for anyone travelling further north. Dog friendly too! The facilities are lovely- just the one toilet and shower (brand new and extremely clean) but with only the 5 motorhome pitches this is not a problem. The room also has a washer and drier (small cost) plus shelves full of books, games, DVDs and information leaflets; it's really well thought out. We feel camping isn't quite the same without a fire, so the fact that fire pits are allowed was a real bonus for us; bricks are provided to stand your pit/ BBQ on. There is plenty of walking on the doorstep and The Mill Inn at Mungrisdale is a lovely pub, just down the road. We only stayed the one night but would definitely return. We've already recommended it to family and friends!

Non mi è piaciuto There was absolutely nothing we disliked. Yes, the track up is a little bit steep but this was explained in the notes when we booked and as long as you use a low gear it really isn't a problem. It was dry when we stayed so getting on and off the grass pitch wasn't a problem, might not be quite as easy in heavy rain?!

Mi è piaciuto Quiet, 'back to basics' grassy site which although small had spacious individual pitches. There also seemed to be quite a large 'overflow' field next door with various groups of tents on it. Very reasonable pricing and I like the fact that you pay for the pitch rather than for separate prices for each individual person/ vehicle etc We just paid a bit extra for my son's pup tent. Cute little shed which houses a toilet and sink with plenty of toilet paper and hand soap- very clean. Separate bins for paper/ cans/ bottles etc Andrew was friendly, chatty and helpful when I asked about the nearest beach to visit. Plenty of public footpaths around- great for dog walking!
