A good place for a stop over on our way to the Scottish Highlands.
Staff where helpful & friendly.
Facilities were good.
Site was well kept.

It would have helped if the sign on the road said it was a touring site. It mentioned everything but, so we didn't think we were in the right place.

Disorganised camping area for tents meant someone camped far too close to me - less than half a metre away. Pitched are not marked or allocated and it’s a free for all. Was also next to a very smelly lake. Definitely won’t be going back and wouldn’t recommend.

Large pitch, excellent connection for water and waste. Lovely clean toilets and area around the site. Staff in the stand were welcoming and delightful.

The bar and restaurant area is very nice, good selection of food and drinks. All the staff were very pleasant and helpful. The site is spacious with all hardstanding gravel pitches. No issues having awning/gazebo up as long as it's on the gravel.

The toilet/shower block is not too close by. Also with the weather being poor, the shower block felt damp and cool which wasn't the best. Showers were hit and miss with hot water.
The site is very busy with visitor traffic for fishing and shooting, so not somewhere to stay for a peaceful break.

Great sized pitch, all amenities on the pitch too for water etc.

Great on site bar with lots of drinks to choose from and a great menu.

Facilities were nice and new. All clean and well kept. Showers were lovely and hot.

Great surroundings and views, short drive into Annan and close to the motorway for access.

Facilities wasn’t warm - likely due to supposedly been “summer” (lol what summer…) but the weather was horrific and a bit cold whilst we was there unfortunately so could have done with the heating on a little bit to warm the room. I’d guess in proper summer and winter it’s a lovely temperature in there though!

No seat or shelf in the shower so nowhere to put clothes etc whilst showering. Water also doesn’t stay in the shower tray and went all over the floor.

Pitch drainage wrong side of the pitch to where the supply was. This meant you could either drive in to use the drainage but not water/EHU or use water/EHU and not drainage unless you have VERY long pipes for one of the two.

Walking from the site isn’t recommended. This isn’t the sites fault but there was no footpaths along any of the roads so you need to cab or drive places. The site gave us a fantastic taxi number which was only £10 into Annan for 6 people.

Ways like the pleasant staff, cleanliness of the area and amenities. Quite handy to access from motorways and close to shopping outlets. Nice relaxing stay.

The pitch (5) that we were on this time was quite a short pitch for our caravan, the trees overhang into it quite a bit so lost about 3 foot of length so couldn't get the caravan on fully. The ground is always so hard even with rock breaker pegs and a drill always end up bending and losing a few. Breakfast on the second day just wasn't up to the usual standards.

Very convenient location en route to Cairnryan. Good sized pitch complete with water & drainage facilities on pitch.

The shooting onsite is a bit of a shock at the start but we just got used to it.

Great value tent pitch with loads of space. Cooked breakfast in the main building is very good. Good site for dogs.
