Above all, the welcome and hospitality we received from April and Terry was exceptional. We got a bag of marshmallows on arrival, the fire bowl was free of charge and the wood (kindling too) was really reasonable at £5 for a big bag. The kids park was brilliant, very child friendly. We appreciated that everyone with dogs were very respectful, there was even a dog exercise field.

Terry took the time to run through all the facilities conventional and eco options which we found clean and worked well. It was good to try the composting loo and have the conventional loos too.
The site is full of welcoming nooks, and has been thoughtfully landscaped with fruit and decorative trees. A nice playground for the smaller kids, a tyre swing for older ones and plenty of room to run around. A fire pit and reasonably priced logs are available and delivered to your pitch.. It feels like you could not get more rural on the campsite but there is a part time food trailer including veggie options and it’s less than 15 minutes from the coast and Morrisons.
