Thank you for taking the time to leave a review. As Lakeside is in a rural setting a strong phone signal cannot be guaranteed. There is a phone box located a few minutes walk away for any emergencies if you don't get signal. You cannot walk all the way around the lake as part of the walk is within the grounds of Castle Howard which you need a ticket to enter. It is definitely worth a visit. We are a young couple who came with friends - they’ve been camping before and suggested castle Howard. There was ourselves and maybe 2 other families camping and we were spaced out. Lots of field space to do sports, there was a shop so if we needed anything we could, people weren’t noisy and they were friendly. The lake was a lovely walk and so was the walk to castle Howard. There is also a few places to visit around activities wise such as shops, village, piglets adventure farm, flamingo land etc. Very clean in the ladies area for toilets and showers. Loved that there was also an area so we could clean our dishes etc and clothes
